Ya know why I still carry around an actual physical key? It's for moments like this.

And so it goes. Seattle’s safest newest crosswalk foiled. By an SUV parked on the “don’t even think of parking here” fresh paint. @transportation.seattle.gov might need to amend the design to make it safe for everyone, not just those over 6feet who see around obstructions.

Starlink is a national threat and should be dismantled or it's critical infrastructure and needs to be nationalized. And Elon should be charged with a war crime for this

Dare Obasanjo@carnage4life.bsky.social

Ukraine’s military Starlink service is now working after a 10-day disruption that affected its drones. Musk claims Ukraine violated Starlink’s terms of service by using it for offensive drone strikes. Trump reportedly called Musk to ask him to restore it. SpaceX can now change the course of wars.

Windows treats downloading the Rufus iso imager like you're voluntarily taking roofies. Ffs it's a safe payload just coz it does unnatural things to dvd drives at ring 1 to cut an iso is a feature not a bug.

Nope. He's DOA. There's no electoral vote math where this guy gets to 273.

Rep. Ro Khanna (D-California) has been taking steps like these to raise his national profile ahead of a possible 2028 presidential campaign. He has been positioning himself to be one of the most appealing candidates to the party’s left wing.

This is literally the end of the rule of law. If a President can pardon people committing crimes on his behalf - and the Supreme Court says he himself can't be prosecuted for crimes committed as part of his job - then the government becomes a lawless entity able to violate our rights without limit.

My Manager once said that of one of my Papers that read like it was written by Ai and I was so offended I demanded an apology in front of everyone on my team, including copilot agent listening in.

Jake Williams@malwarejake.bsky.social

I hate that people sometimes say my writing sounds like AI and I have to explain that AI companies stole my writing and that of so many other professionals. We don't sound like AI, AI sounds like us.

Why is Sara Nelson who is violating campaign law in plain sight, not being investigated for this?

neighborsfornilu.bsky.social@neighborsfornilu.bsky.social

Hidden donors, contributions that violate disclosure laws, and murky reporting. Two-thirds of the PAC's money — $30,000 of $45,400 — came from SeaFor, a group that is not registered with the PDC and has said it won't name its donors because it is a nonprofit.

Only security teams that treat users like the criminals use phishing tests as justification for failing to do their duty at the email relay edge. You only phish your users coz you suck at protecting them.

Jake Williams@malwarejake.bsky.social

Since this is getting a lot of comments, I'll give you one more hot take: I believe it's an abject failure of cybersecurity programs that we consider users so crucial to phishing defense that we feel the need to regularly phish them at all - regardless of the pretext used.

Suddenly wanting to hire a crew...

DeFlock Redmond@deflock-redmond.bsky.social

⚠️ New: Target have installed ALPR surveillance cameras at the Redmond, WA location!! These appear to be the Axis Q1800-LE model: www.axis.com/products/axi... It sounds like this might be rolling out nationwide, much like Home Depot and Lowe's have done with Flock! 😩

Target's ongoing pattern of malfeasance compromised my credit cards repeatedly in 2016, then the debacle around masking for rona, and recent bullshit around lgbtq+ and black communities, plus letting ICE operate IN their stores, and now this? No they will never see another dime from me.

We found one of those democrat consultants that should be fired.

G Elliott Morris@gelliottmorris.com

Matthew Yglesias continues to say that talking about ICE and excessive force in immigration enforcement helps Republicans. He is obviously wrong about this and refuses to acknowledge the data. Way past time for everyone to update their priors on this.

Wayne Barnett and the SEEC should come down hard on this (but won't, Wayne always gives the conservative faction a slap on the wrist). So hopefully the PDC will, and this probably rises to the level of needing an investigation by the AG's office.

Pro-Julie Kang PAC Returns Dark Money Contribution from Ex-Councilmember Nelson’s Pass-Through Group But it looks like the money’s already been spent.

Only cowards wait.

Jake Grumbach@jakemgrumbach.bsky.social

A helpfully clear exchange here Hasan: "So your argument is that [Minnesota ICE protesters] should stay at home because immigration is a salient issue for Donald Trump. Opposing ICE is only going to help Trump. Wait until we win the election in 2028." Yglesias: "Yes that is what I would have said"

Last I checked this is a federal crime, why isn't Sara Nelson being charged?

Erica C. Barnett@ericacbarnett.bsky.social

This will be in Fizz today, but I also reported it on the Seattle Nice we recorded Wednesday: North Seattle Neighbors, the PAC that's supporting District 5 council candidate Julie Kang, returned a $30,000 contribution to Seafor, the pass-through group created by former councilmember Sara Nelson. 1/

The issue here is that it's illegal to conceal the source of political donations by creating a pass-through organization that effectively launders the money by anonymizing it.

How to undermine trust in your security teams...

this is fucking appalling. i already knew james dolan (who owns the knicks and madison square garden) was a douche but this is next-level. www.nytimes.com/athletic/771...

Did I really call Chainguard a bunch of assholes on my show? And called them out by name coz they broke the embargo? You God damn right I did.

They explain their endorsement process at length here; it's a pretty typical process for a nonprofit without a lot of staff. The comms director does the research (the site explains how this process works) and then makes the recommendations, consulting with the ED and political director.

FWIW, the Lefty Cheat Sheet also shits on Fuse Washington's Progressive Voters' Guide (which did not endorse Ron Davis ro Hannah, notably) by putting out misinformation about it. The PVG is another great guide to local elections and I'm not sure why LCS is putting out false info about them.
