At first, I thought that Gemini 3.5 made it all better, but reading reasoning of agy, I saw that it was referring to the Modern Web Guidance under the hood. Cool idea and nice implementation. Will definitely adopt to work projects. #GoogleIOConnect #BuildwithGemini

TIL: bulbul – is Persian name for this bird, I always thought that this bird only habits in my homeland (Kazakhstan), and we call it бұлбұл. Also, if someone has a beautiful voice, that person is also called bulbul :)

Today, I let my bulbul out and about. He explored the area around the house where there are also many other wild bulbuls.

Haven't had technical interviews for a while, things have changed. The interviewer asked to share a screen to make sure I was not cheating and using any AI tools.

Well, we do really have fake AI candidates: newsletter.pragmaticengineer.com/p/ai-fakers I hope, this would result in making interviews more humane, and without meaningless coding tasks (leetcode 👀).

Is it possible to get into FAANG without grinding Leetcode? I was able to get to the initial tech interview without any referrals, but always fail them because of nonsense algorithm coding challenges.

December is a great time to hack something or tackle that old tech-debt, because almost everyone is on holiday and there is a deployment freeze. Any new initiative gets pushed to next year, and you have a lot of time on your hand to do what you wanted to do.

Things you forgot (or never knew) because of React joshcollinsworth.com/blog/antiqua... This is a very good post that's worth your time to read. It has a good blend of history, valid criticism, credit-where-credit-is-due, and a fresh look at current front-end technologies.

joshcollinsworth.comThings you forgot (or never knew) because of ReactIf you don't often look beyond established comfortable defaults, you might be surprised to learn just how far the world of frontend has moved away from React, and how big that gap continues to grow.

You are up to date.
