CSS-Tricks has a new owner! Yes, I've got the keys to the castle, so to speak. And, even after 12 years of working on the site, I'll admit I'm a little overwhelmed and nervous about that. https://css-tricks.com/css-tricks-has-a-new-owner/

Happy 25th Birthday Windows XP! On October 25, 2001, Microsoft released Windows XP and began a new era of Windows operating systems.

I’m feeling all the love (and FOMO) from across the pond. Wish I was at Converge; it looks like it was a fantastic event!

I'm looking for tools/setups for creating & managing beautiful, interactive, and structured diagrams/flow charts/etc. Any recommendations?

Remember Internet Explorer’s “Page Transitions”? Well, they’re back, thanks to the View Transition API! → Blog post: brm.us/page-transit... → Demo site: page-transitions.style The project leverages IE’s meta tags so browser support is not limited to Modern Browsers™ but also includes IE 5.5–8.0 😆

My family's first computer was a Tandy Sensation. It changed my world forever; fast forward all these years later and I'm still playing around on computers.

Completing our courses required all of my attention, time, and energy. With them done, I'm finally able to revisit the many things I had to defer. Here's a behind-the-scenes peek of those things:

Someone is visiting you for the first time, and you need to introduce them to your favorite guilty pleasure food. Where are you taking them?

This landscape is moving way too quickly for any one person to keep up with, and there's so much hype-y bullshit and noise. That's why we created a healthy space to collectively work through latest trends, swap ideas, answer questions, show & tell, and learn different perspectives.

When making websites, I almost never stay in a single lane. I flit around updating copy, tweaking styles, adjusting structure, and whatever's required to get the dang thing done. Some may see this as bad (my apologies to every PM I ever worked with), but this is my creative process and it is Good.

I was just at multiple conferences in multiple countries; it's so apparent that EVERYONE is processing their grief around AI. bradfrost.com/blog/post/gr... Also apparent is a healthy way of processing it is to come together & discuss it with vulnerability and nuance. This is what community is for.

Loved hearing @bradfrost.com compare AI adoption with the stages of grief on @whiskey.fm. Definitely went through them in the past 9 months. Still somewhat reluctant, begrudging acceptance.

Installing DaVinci Resole Studio. Let's see how this goes; I haven't been satisfied with pretty much any video editor ever, so I'm hoping this at least alleviates some frustration.
