It's been a hard couple of weeks at the homestead and it's gonna be a hard couple more. So here's a bunny dressed up as a ghost. May it bring you at least a fraction of the joy it brought me.

The more I see an ad for something the less I want it. If it was good enough you wouldn't need to advertise so much. In the modern era this, I feel, is more important than ever. Insurance copies that advertise a lot have the money to do so because they deny the most claims.

I've been dipping my toes into doing some VA/VO work and I've auditioned for, and got, a couple of small non paying roles. A cop in a Samurai drama. A Power Rangers-esque villian. Reading short stories. A dad in an old Celtic fairy tale. It's been fun. Weird. But fun.

Not that I consider this to be any kind of sign of personal achievement but I just noticed I have 1000 followers over here. I'm sure about 10-15% of you are robots but that just mean you were programmed with GI-GO and for that I am very sorry for you.

In preparation for a future position as senate minority leader I did send a strongly worded email yesterday. Also I think out new WH Press Secretary lasted half a Scarmuchi

Maybe I expect too much. I went to look up a guitar related thing the other day. I wanted to read a thing at my own pace, refer back to it, sit with it. The thing doesn't exist. It's all videos now.

We do these online classes at work as part of our wellness program. They're all AI narrated now. It takes 3 times as long to get through them and it's now impossible to fail the test at the end because you can't move on to a question till you get the current one right.

I want to watch some cosmic/analog horror videos. But every one of them has a narrator telling me what's happening on screen while it's happening on screen.

Sometimes if you're unsure how you should feel about a thing, you can look to how other people feel about a thing. Like Elon and the Russian Bot Farm attack. He doesn't like it. So it must be a good thing.

I was behind on updating my book list for the year, so once I added The Stranger and First King of Shannara I passed my goal of 16 books this year. I realize that's not a terribly lofty goal, but Musashi was like 60+ hours. I didn't want to over extend. "You Like It Darker" is next.

About 2 years ago I started smoking a pipe. Maybe once a week on average. I enjoy the ritual of it. Anyway. Every since I started that I've had compliments on my singing voice then I ever have in my life. Probably combined.

This may be a long one, bear with me. Work encourages us to take Universal Classes through our local library as part of our year long wellness program. I support that. I think that's a fine idea. No problems there. BUT... the courses are all kind of dumb and take WAY too long.

It's take a thing that was somewhat interesting but annoying and made it even more annoying than it was to begin with. It's so dumb. It's so so dumb. Sorry. Had to vent a bit. Carry on.

Oh... and another thing. If you click outside of the window, it stops. So I can't read it because there's nothing to read, no can I listen to it while I do something else because it force pauses the presentation.

There's a course about being a "Master Level Waiter" and it's 7 hours long and is worth like 0.8 credits. The job doesn't care about credits or what the classes are, at least there's that. Anyway. The classes used to be reading and a quiz at the end. A little article you could reference back to.

Well I go in today to do my SQL class and suddenly it's all AI narrated. It refers to images that don't exist in the narration because the written material is gone. The quiz at the end is literally impossible to fail. You can't go on to the next question till you get the current one right.

I haven't heard anyone say it like this so here I go. Fuel prices are way up. This makes driving more expensive. Trump is removing fuel efficiency guidelines for new vehicles. This also makes driving more expensive.

The people arrested for suspected terrorism in the UK over the weekend were described as "5 masked men in an unmarked van". You know. ICE agents.
