It’s weirdly sad when you see a recent promo photo of a band you like and it only shows 2-3 members when previously there were 4-5. It’s like when you wanna ask about your friend’s dog, but you’re scared to because the pup was getting up there in age and you don’t want to bring up a sore subject

Next time you complain about flying from Florida to San Diego and having a lousy layover, keep in mind the USA has demonstrated the most hardcore bicoastal flight path ever. To be fair, if it cost me $4.1 billion and took 10 days to leave Florida I’d do it too and call it time and money well spent

The Artemis II crew emerges after a safe splashdown off the coast of California, concluding a historic journey around the moon. https://cnn.it/41qt7BW

I don’t get it. The Artemis II crew has 58 tortillas. That’s 1.45 tortillas per crew member per day. Why the oddly specific number? What engineer optimized that weight and volume for this mission? Honestly if you can’t bring 80, just bring 40.

This is the most SF thing, as I have both in my possession and needed something to pair with my mint It’s-It as part of a hella nutritious breakfast

SF pro tip: if you are getting towards the bottom of a bag of Casa Sanchez tortilla chips, dump all the small broken ones into a bowl of Papalote salsa and eat it like cereal

Honest thoughts: odd that despite tons of pop music to train on, the model didn’t hit the chorus at the 0:45 mark, also interesting that it applied fake autotune globbing but somehow got it wrong, and clearly at the 3:00 mark the prompters got bored and phoned in the rest

“Blueskee” ..I literally joked about that and love seeing it in the wild. Thank you for that @davidjbier.bsky.social

KENNEDY: You said, 'Republicans think can troll their way to ethnic cleansing.' Did I read that correctly? BIER: DHS tweeted for 100m deportations. That would be ethnic cleansing! K: You don't think it's hyperbolic? B: I think advocating 100m deportations is ethnic cleansing. Yes. Your time is up

I have it on good authority that the original Franz Ferdinand would’ve been nauseous and furious over how taking him out was used for propaganda.

Los Angeles Marathon organizers, citing expected high heat, announced that runners who reach mile 18 could still collect a finisher medal for the 26.2-mile race on Sunday. The change, which only applies to this year’s event, has drawn pushback.

This reminds me of something that bothers me.. when Seattle was deciding on what to call the future @seattlekraken.com I vehemently urged everyone I knew to push for calling them the Seattle Freeze. Someone from Seattle please validate that this would’ve been the perfect name

Few things are more metal than the idea of a “hyperparasite” The only thing more metal than being called a hyperparasite is actually being one
