Classified Materials… “Nearly 3,000,000 people have access to classified materials” Federal government employees, including military personnel, and contractors have access to classified information. A subset have the highest clearance. 1/

Explain how you can continue to support the existing process control of storing and protecting classified documents? You can’t. 3/

The first thing America needs is an ambitious economy. We must rewrite the rules of the game of politics and construct a playground and environment that politics plays on. Must take into our values in the consideration of universally dealing with foreign affairs, policies and trade agreements. 1/

We need new ways of dealing with the advancement of science, Internet, artificial intelligence, cyber-attacks, Infrastructure, gun reform, climate change, and high-quality education, training, and healthcare systems. 2/

We need to elect the young and the wise to provide leadership and tools to develop on going strategies to accelerate and encourage technical innovations and research development. 3/

American citizens want politicians with unwavering courage with forward, thinking, that stand for the welfare of the people-their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights and their civil liberties. 1/

National leadership that will listen to the majority of Americans and get a firm grip on reality and issues. Our Democratic principles must stay in place. Changes need to be in an open forum and demand justice. 2/

A federal judge on Monday night indefinitely blocked the Trump administration from removing even a single tree from a public golf course in D.C. that President Donald Trump intends to immediately transform into a championship-style course. READ MORE: www.ms.now/news/judge-b...

ms.nowJudge blocks D.C. golf course tree removal, orders government to give notice before more changesWith hours to spare before her earlier order expired, U.S. District Judge Ana Reyes once again blocked the government from removing trees from East Potomac Park.

If Republicans do implode as badly next Tuesday as the current polls suggest, there will be two main reasons. One is Trump’s epic corruption, which finally seems to be getting traction as a campaign issue, second only to the cost of living. 1/

The other is soaring energy prices, which are both a major cause of overall inflation and especially visible since they’re posted on big signs in front of every gas station across the country. 2/

Trump said in a social media post on Monday (Today) that he is offering a $1 million reward for anyone who reports voter fraud -- in past elections or in the upcoming midterm elections -- that leads to a conviction. Trump‘s mind has gone he is capable of doing almost anything insane.

Brazil refuses to lose a big one. Brazil refused to be bullied. Although Meta’s denials lack plausibility, we can’t prove that Mark Zuckerberg deliberately tried to deliver Brazil into the hands of a right-wing authoritarian. 1/

However, there is no question that Elon Musk intentionally and strongly intervened on the side of Vladimir Putin in his efforts to conquer Ukraine. Musk keeps changing his story about what happened. 2/

Musk, denied any involvement, saying that the order came from the White House, and now claiming that Ukraine violated its terms of service. But this charade is completely implausible because Musk has long made it clear that his sympathies in this war lie with Russia. 3/

“The DOJ should never have filed this lawsuit.” The attack on their voting rights and implicit insult to Alaska voters (who, with ranked-choice voting, will have a chance to indicate preferences for each candidate) may well boost Democrat Mary Peltola, who was already leading in the polls.

What may be about to happen — indeed, is already happening — is what we might call policy looting: Trump using his remaining power to take actions that are both deeply unpatriotic and deeply unpopular but fit his own preferences and prejudices.

We need to lower costs. We need to put money in people’s pockets. Yes, we need to end this war and the corruption in Washington, but we don’t do any of those things if we don’t fix our moral compass as a nation, if we don’t return to some of those old-fashioned virtues. 1/

If we’re driven by fear instead of by hope, if we think it’s okay to snatch children from parents or cut programs for the aged or the infirm, so the powerful can get whatever they want, we will continue to fester in anger and division. 2/

I don’t recall anybody campaigning on sending masked agents running through our streets. I don’t recall anybody talking about law-abiding citizens being arrested, detained, or shot! We did not ask for that! That’s not what we have to do to get our borders under control. 1/

We have a spineless Congress and Republican governors who are not stopping lawlessness and carelessness and cruelty, and indifference for working people. 2/

Democrats’ sails keep picking up momentum, MAGA is doubling down on what has worked in the past: a false narrative undergirded by cruelty. But that false narrative is now so out of sync with reality that it does not seem to be attracting voters. 1/

Oil companies and their investors—like Trump—are indeed making a fortune, but the rest of the country is suffering under climbing gasoline prices and record high diesel costs, which have driven up the prices of food and anything that travels by train or truck. 2/

Trump is unable to name one issue voters care about in this clip. Not one.

Q: What are you hearing is the top issue for voters? Trump: I’m hearing we turned the whole thing around.

Trump says Alaska’s ballot is illegal because people don’t know what “incumbent” means

The BBC is schooling American media on the First Amendment. In the defamation case filed against it by Trump for which he is too busy to be deposed, the BBC is pushing back. A Judge is threatening to dismiss the case if Trump doesn’t take it seriously—after all, he’s the one who filed the lawsuit.

Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, is unlawfully exercising significant governmental power by acting as one of the administration’s “go-to foreign policy negotiators” without Senate confirmation or compliance with federal ethics rules.

Trump wants the Ninth Circuit to enter an injunction to prevent California from counting ballots while the litigation moves forward. The Court of Appeals ordered expedited briefing on whether the administration gets its injunction and set a hearing for Sunday.

Trump’s efforts to federalize the midterm elections have been largely unsuccessful. Most notably, in September, the Supreme Court stopped his efforts to use the Postal Service to exert federal control over the elections. 1/

That issue will likely crop back up for 2028, but, along with other Trump plans that have gone down to defeat. Pro-democracy lawyers, civil rights activists, and Democratic politicians have been making plans of their own as he tries to execute efforts that make him look increasingly ridiculous.

Rate increases ahead for 2027…After three consecutive months of Core PCE standing pat at 3%, the Inflation Nowcasting tool predicts a steady reacceleration to 3.05% in September (Core PCE for September will be released on the 30th) and 3.13% in October. 1/

The projected uptick in Core PCE suggests that the U.S. economy is dealing with more than just an energy supply shock. Businesses altering their shipping routes and shifting suppliers due to the illegal Iran war are just some of the added costs now affecting the broader economy. 2/

Good news! USPS officials claim that delays are much less likely for November’s general election because of “extraordinary measures.” 1/

The postal service sent a memo to every post office in the country earlier this fall instructing them to separate ballots from other mail for the 10 days preceding Election Day on November 3. The memo said that the post offices should deliver the ballots on the day they arrive. 2/

Our nation is in grave danger. But across America I’m seeing stirrings of a giant backlash. People rising up and hitting the streets. People getting out the vote. Our fight — for democracy, the rule of law, social and economic justice, and decency — is gaining ground. I believe we will win.

Despite Trump’s statement yesterday that billionaire Elon Musk had removed the restrictions from Starlink and Starshield that are crippling Ukraine’s ability to protect itself from Russia, Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelensky said today the restrictions continue. Trump’s speaks mis-information.

The federal government has absolutely no authority under the U.S. Constitution to tell Alaska when and how to certify its votes. It’s up to state law, and Alaska’s state officials are following Alaska state law. 1/

In June, the Alaska Supreme Court ruled that the second Mr. Sullivan could appear on the ballot, ahead of the primary. 2/

Trump does not have authority to order the Justice Department to block certification in a senatorial race if a Democrat wins. No president can do this. This lawsuit is intended to cast doubt on the integrity of elections all over America — and to delay final tallies. 3/
