A logo isn’t just design. It’s mission, purpose, and impact — all before you say a word. I went looking for #nonprofit #logos that really do that — the ones that feel like the work. These hit the mark. Some hit me in the feels. What would you add to the list? #designsky

We don’t need to flatten or dumb things down.
But we do need to help people navigate the experience. That might mean explaining unfamiliar traditions.
Or welcoming different expressions of enthusiasm.
Or just making it easier to show up without feeling small.

If new audiences are the future of the arts, why do we keep making them feel like they don’t belong? My new post looks at how orgs can welcome people who are curious but unsure—without shaming, gatekeeping, or making it harder than it has to be. 🔗 JeffsAGoodMan.com/blog/welcome #artsleadership

Whether you’re a nonprofit looking to expand your reach, or a business looking to lead with purpose, strategic partnerships rooted in shared values and goals can turn connection into real-world change. Some organizations rise on their own. Most rise farther—and stronger—with partners.

A true mission should move people. It should show how the world is better because you exist. If your mission reads like an elevator pitch, it’s time to rewrite it. 🔗 𝐖𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐚 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭? www.jeffsagoodman.com/mission-crit... 🖼️ Magritte, 1929 #ArtIsntEasy #ArtsLeadership

GOP gets their messages out simply in 3-4 words (Big Beautiful Bill, Make America Great Again). It's deceitful and oversimplifies complicated issues, but it resonates. Democrats issue press releases and lean into nuance. And we lose.

Donald Trump and Senate Republicans have sent a clear message to the American people: Your kids, your job, and your elderly relatives don’t matter.

• Many of my fellow progressives have been painfully silent about rising antisemitism in the U.S. & around the world. The same people who spoke up when MAGA bigots marched with torches look the other way when antisemitism doesn’t fit their narrative. That’s not solidarity. That’s selective empathy.

• Too many people are stuck in information bubbles, only accepting the “facts” that confirm what they already believe. While that’s one of the legacies of Trump’s war on truth, it’s not just a MAGA problem—it’s happening across the political spectrum. And it’s making all of this worse.

• Jews not only have the right to criticize Israeli leadership—we have a moral responsibility to. The killing of tens of thousands of civilians, including countless children, because of where they live and who governs them should sound far too familiar.

Jewish tradition teaches: “Do not stand idly by while your neighbor’s blood is shed.” And Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel reminded us: “In a free society, some are guilty, but all are responsible.”

• A response from Israel was not only warranted—it was necessary. But that response has been catastrophically disproportionate, ineffective, unstrategic, and morally indefensible.

Netanyahu is an authoritarian more concerned with his own power and freedom than with the safety of Israelis—or Jews around the world. His actions are making all of us less safe.

And beyond the immediate devastation in Israel, Hamas also inflicted long-term harm on Palestinians in Gaza, using them as human shields and sacrificing their futures for its own power.

This is really big and amazing news. If you've been following this story, you know that Price Tower was in serious jeopardy of falling into major disrepair, and potentially not exist. I can't say enough about the work of the staff and board of @savewrightflwbc.bsky.social to save it. #preservation

The Bartlesville Examiner-Enterprise reports that McFarlin Building LLC was the only bidder to purchase the Price Tower, and no objections to the sale process were filed with the bankruptcy trustee. We hope to have further news about the building soon! buff.ly/oNcpPfU
