I wish more bands I like would do such lighter "pretty" colourways and designs because I want more band t-shirts but the typical metal look isn't my vibe ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Hello. It's been ages. Here are my favourite photos from Korn at Download festival this weekend, which I am still very much buzzing about today. Hope you are all well ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ–ค

Art I love ๐Ÿ–ค Miroslaw Balka "How it is". It is basically a huge container painted with light absorbing paint. The further you walked in the less you could see and the less you could sense the space around you. It was intimidating both in presence and experience but also silent and reflective. #art

'Prime' Digital Composite 2016. A house owned as a trophy is a hollow display of success, admired from the outside but empty within. Without warmth or purpose, it stands as a monument to status rather than a place to belong. #art #artistbristol #photoshopart @bsky.art #prime #greed #status #popart

Feeling old and tired today mostly because I partied on Saturday and apparently that means these days I still feel shit on Thursday. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Did finish 1/3rd of my dissertation though. And managed to reduce the weight on the assisted pull up machine at the gym. So some wins. How is your day?

Today I will mostly be working on my dissertation report. ๐Ÿ˜ฉ Felt like the word count was too high, now I feel like the word count is too little and I am going to have to spend hours chopping bits. Will be pleased to just have the first draft done tbh.

I love this ๐Ÿ’œ

Beyond the grid 2019. Acrylic on cradled canvas. Colors pulse and lines shift, breaking free from structure. The grid bends, giving way to movement, energy, and spontaneity. #art #artistbristol #acrylicpainting #abstractart #popart #movement #offgrid #modernart @bsky.art

Silly little cartoon I drew in 2023. I left Rosie at my partner's house because my floor wasn't suitable for her to get around in my tiny house. And today she finally died. So so long Rosie. Thanks for all your service. So what did you name your robot hoover? Prize for the best one

Today has been a good day. Started with the cinema. We went to see the Dog Man film, which I was not enthusiastic about my kids loved as they LOVE Dog Man. Then managed to declutter 5 whole bags of rubbish from my house. So that's great ๐Ÿ’™

Going to start sharing art I love I think because why not. This is Composition 8 by Wassily Kandinsky. I love the composition in this painting and the geometric shapes with the hints of colour. Love ๐Ÿฉท

Wrapping up my project to be in tomorrow today. Just collecting all the files and drawing together in a folder for hand in. Then off to see my Dad for a while. Hope you are having a great day ๐Ÿ’š

I have never tried animating anything and have never made a soundscape before. I hand drew each frame and it's been very experimental and overwhelming at times. But I am pleased with the result of my hard work. ๐Ÿ–ค

Any good films you have seen recently on Netflix, Disney Plus Or Amazon Prime? Feeling worn down. Going to sack off working and watch a film with wine and like paint my nails or something.

Someone recommend me a really good grim dark fantasy novel please. Something well written with good reviews that is perhaps not the obvious choice as my friend whose birthday it is loves this genre so has probably read the obvious choices. Thanks ๐Ÿ’™

That guy on tiktok / Instagram who keeps playing those public pianos at train stations etc and then stands up and walks off when someone tries to join in with an instrument or singing (and it's always women he does it too) is I think the most insufferable person on the internet right now.

Here is how the image transfers came out. I really enjoyed the process of making these. I think that you could work back into them with other materials such as ink. Or you could layer up collages to transfer. Will experiment more.

Seems to be actually working. All the papers I tried haven't been heavy weight enough unfortunately. Plus feel like I need to experiment with how much water and pressure. Perhaps try on canvas. Id also like to work back into them but I am not sure how at the moment. But I am enjoying this for sure.

Faffing around trying image transfers. Have no idea how these will turn out when I try and rub the paper off tomorrow. Also the paper wasn't heavy duty enough ๐Ÿ˜‚ I like the image seeping through though. Will report back tomorrow as to if this worked or not.

I did it. I animated to the end of my project. All hand drawn 1500 frames of it. Some bits I love. Some bits I'm not happy with but not really sure how to fix. Some bits I might be unhappy with because I have been looking at this thing too much.

Never tried to do anything like this before and so I guess that's something ๐Ÿ˜‚ I've got 10 days before hand in to make sound and try and work out how to fix the problem bits.

Kid has an appointment in another city tomorrow so we are staying over in a hotel and I managed to get a 4 star on some deal that made it cheaper than the 2 stars ๐Ÿ˜‚ She's not getting here until 8. So I am in the bar drawing. It's nice here.

Reading through all my extensive notes on the novel I was writing before I went into my uni course. Feeling like I have forgotten half of my ideas and what I was doing for the world building. Which is frustrating. I really want to finish this novel when my course is finished.

Is A Court Of Thorn and Roses better written than Throne Of Glass? I loved the first two Throne Of Glass books but got fed up with them and the change in romantic interest and then the 4th was so badly written I quit reading them. But I keep contemplating reading A Court Of Thorn and Roses.
