Went to see CLAYFACE today. It’s pretty good. Between the nonchalant disguising himself as women, the whole “morphing into your crush in your sleep” thing, and getting his face zapped repeatedly, I’d like to declare now that Clayface is our new unintentional trans icon.

How Nicolas Cage allegedly got into character as Ghost Rider. Is any of this true, or did he just get bored one day on the press tour and claimed all this just to amuse himself? It doesn't matter. It's bloody hilarious either way.

We all know the "Viggo broke his toe" story but what's another movie fact you're personally compelled to bring up every time without prompting? For me, it's the fact that Robin Tunney is wearing a wig in The Craft because of having just shaved her head to save her job filming Empire Records.

I went to see FORGOTTEN ISLAND today and was left absolutely devastated by it. I don’t normally share my Letterboxd reviews on here, or even write reviews in this style usually, but I wanted to post this here because I think this one is important to me.

Drop a film on a first date. An absolutely beautiful film that also made for an incredibly awkward first date. IYKYK Weirdly, we continued to date for a few months before I broke up with him after a screening of Danny Boyle's YESTERDAY which, for its many faults, is a far more suitable date movie.

Drop a film you saw on a first date.

If they censored a Black Lives Matter shirt, you’d call it racism. If they censored a Love Is Love shirt, you’d call it homophobia. Call this what it is: transphobic censorship. Shame on you, BBC

Bethany wore a “Protect The Dolls” t-shirt during rehearsals. The BBC posted it on their socials then quietly deleted and reposted it without showing her from the front. On TV last night they actually blurred the message #Strictly

Finally caught up on LANTERNS, and it might be the best superhero show of the decade. Pitch-perfect writing, phenomenal performances from Aaron Pierre, Kyle Chandler and Kelly Macdonald, and a fascinating take on the Green Lantern mythos and the nature of fear. DC Studios is FAR from cooked.

This article buries the lede that FUCIKING TONY BLAIR is also a board advisor?! David Ellison, Bobby Kotick, and Tony Blair. Is the Skydance board supposed to run a media empire, or is it an invite-only club for the world's richest living scumbags? Seriously. Kotick was in the Epstein files. WTF!?

The Simpsons/Futurama dichotomy is fascinating. You have one show that everyone says should end already, yet refuses to. Then you have another that keeps on ending perfectly but, sooner or later, they bring it back again.

How does Futurama keep writing amazing series finales every time, then get more episodes?

Just back from the new RESIDENT EVIL movie, and... They finally did it. They made a good one. No, scratch that. They made a GREAT one! There have been a lot of fantastic horror films this year. I wouldn't say RESIDENT EVIL is the best one, but it is easily the most fun. See it big and loud! ★★★★½

Been obsessed with Star Wars: Zero Company for the past week! For my money, it's hands-down the best Star Wars game this generation. Its blend of XCOM-style tactical battles and Mass Effect-influenced character interaction, paired with a great original story, is utter catnip to me. Well worth a go!

Just finished FURIOUS, one of the best new TV shows of 2026. It's one of the most harrowing, and yet invigorating, pieces of crime drama I've ever watched. A truly idiosyncratic show with a morbid sense of humour and some truly devastating performances. If you have Hulu/Disney+, do not sleep on it!

C'mon, Universe. You just took two absolute legends from us back-to-back. You owe us at least ONE death of a scumbag. You know which one we want... And no, Mitch McConnell doesn't count. It's not our fault that his death certificate has gotten "misplaced". Anyway, RIP Dolly and Tim.

Every single movie adaptation of a Mark Millar comic book is better than the source material, mostly because they sand away a lot of the sophomoric edgelord cringe and "humour" that permeates his writing. Even Kick-Ass 2, a bad movie, is still better than its comic counterpart.

The movie Fletch is an improvement on Gregory MacDonald's original novel if only because it does the classic pulp novel detective thing of taking the two cases that appear to be completely different cases and links them at the climax. The novel just had two independent stories Fletch was chasing.

Won't name names for obvs reasons, but I've got a friend who works at one of the biggest Film & TV talent agencies in the UK. Several of their clients are working on the HP show. However, they told me just as many (if not more) refused lucrative offers. Remember: there are good people out there!

Ally Pankiw (I Used to Be Funny) revealed in an Instagram post that she passed on directing the HBO Harry Potter series. Kate Herron (Loki) revealed in the comments that she passed on directing episodes TWICE. It really is that fucking easy. It's really just that easy.

British GP offices: I know you want to book an appointment for next week, but we can only see you RIGHT NOW if you abandon your job without warning and run across town to us, or otherwise the next one is in eleventy billion years.

The trailer for Adam Wingard's latest ONSLAUGHT looks decent, but I know I'm immediatelly sold as soon as I hear Dan Stevens doing a ridiculous European accent. This man cannot be stopped, and I don't want anyone to even try.

I'm not going to count indies I saw at a film festival that either didn't or barely got a public release, because that doesn't seem fair. Putting those aside, it's a toss-up between Pixels and this year's Return to Silent Hill. Both video game-related, but both awful in very different ways.

You've tapped your last spine. Backed your last nickel. Hootied your last blowfish. Spun your last doctor. Partied your last bloc. Shazamed your last fox. Crossed your last Christopher! You have eaten your last world, Jimmy. Now bow to me!

You've limped your last bizkit.

Good Morning Britain was playing on the TV in the background at work, and the sight of Ed Balls in a bucket hat is simultaneously one of the funniest and yet most revolting things I’ve ever had to witness on telly. I don’t know what the context was, but there is no good explanation for such a crime.

Keir Starmer is a mealy-mouthed piss pot whose spineless leadership has only further divided this country. His crackdowns on immigration, internet privacy, and trans rights have done damage that will take decades to rebuild. I have little faith in whoever takes over as PM, but thank fuck he's going!
