Before the playoffs started, it was comical to watch Alex Rodriquez and Derek Jeter proclaim with confidence that the Yankees would win the World Series. A week later they were swept out of the playoffs, meaning loyalty is more important than credibility and how that’s a microcosm of greater ills.
