Watching the scenes where they talk about what the Theranos 1.0 device "could do" gave me traumatic flashbacks to my time at DigiScents giving demos of their device that could "broadcast any smell".

Just came out of a sold-out Monday afternoon screening of You Can See Everything and can confirm it is indeed bonkers and you will be thinking about it for days.

I haven't ranted about the broken silos of the music industry for a while, so here's a new one... 1. Upload recorded song and enter metadata to distributor 2. Wait (1 day) 3. Log back in to distributor to get ISRC assigned to recording 4. Add ISRC to my catalog spreadsheet

17. Build dashboard to monitor marketing performance and optimize Once again I'm looking for someone to fix this problem so that I don't have to try to. This should be a 2 step process, max.

10. Register song with The MLC (using ISWC) and re-enter metadata 11. Upload to Bandcamp and any other storefronts not serviced by the distributor and re-enter metadata (with ISRC and ISWC) 12. Wait (for song to be released to streaming)

13. Update MusicBrainz and re-enter metadata and add streaming & indie storefront links 14. Create universal sharing link (resolve to all of the above) 15. Create and schedule ad/promo campaigns 16. Post link variants (for tracking) to all social networks

I basically have a weekly internal battle between "I'm pretty relaxed and my apps work fine for me" vs "I should work harder to improve it/them for others". So I end up just bouncing between the two depending on how bored I am. Sorry (but not really sorry).

We need a word for when you need to ship something but don't have a big enough box so you try to figure out how to buy the right volume of crap to be delivered from Amazon so that you can just reuse the box it comes in.

I honestly forgot that I had built this feature and was excited when I found it again. Top albums being played on college radio in the US and Canada (and every album page tries to resolve and link to every source/streaming service it can find). achordion.xyz/charts/colle...

I went to one of those assistive-stretching studios yesterday in Park Slope that had a wall of windows facing out to 7th Avenue and all its pedestrians. Now I know what it must feel like to be a Cirque du Soleil performer.

Does anyone that works there know that when you say "Meta Muse" out loud it sounds an awful lot like you are talking about a product that relieves occasional constipation and supports healthy bowel movements?

I was sort of beating myself up for just roadtripping around most of the summer and not being very productive lately and had to remind myself that's what I retired for.

Anyone in the market for 2 tickets to see Alabama Shakes at Radio City on Wednesday (9/2)? (Yet again I went out of town and forgot I had tickets to a show.)

Achordion is a music site that can't play a song. Every Play action is handed off to Parachord, which does the hard work and then plays it through the music services you already pay for.

Propelligence is a real-estate site that can't think. Every property research task is handed off to Claude, which does the hard work through the subscription you already pay for. Apparently I have a type (and I'm cheap).

Just heard about a crazy phone scam that was attempted on a family member that involved multiple phone calls, a fake arrest warrant, insistence that the warrant "script" be read aloud in its entirety, with the ultimate goal of a "surety bond" to be bought at a crypto kiosk. Stay vigilant everyone!

Before I go *too* much further in productizing my personal home buying research agent - let's see if anyone else (prospective buyers/agents/other) finds this interesting. Beta signup now available. Beta signups now open. propelligence.xyz

I stood up a rough online demo with dummy data (it's optimized for lake houses at the moment because that's my kink and I built it for me), but I'm curious if real estate professionals (or their clients) would find such a thing interesting? propelligence-core.netlify.app#/p/harrow

I'm so addicted to Zillow Porn that I just built a little Claude agent that I hand a listing link to & it generates a ~15 page report including: overviews/concern of the house/land/water (if applicable), average weather/days of sun, local zoning rules...

While not my primary use case, it does support printing lots of codes and disturbing them to users to just claim (e.g. apartment building residents, parking garage customers, etc).

For example, a parking attendant prints code, hands you a ticket with QR code (for you to claim) and drops the other on the dash - if they need to get you for any reason they scan and leave a note.
