My take - the numbers are not right. Some Albertans may have been manipulated or deceived into marking yes to questions with underlying racism. Voter trickery is not a valid trend. #abpol #abpoli #ableg

Needed a break so I took a bike ride today. Went back to where I was 48 years ago, in Grade 10. LSL - The years may have been kinder to the building then they have to me.

And now we have a spot to rest for any weary travelers. Well done and big thanks to all those who supported this memorial to Dr. Darren Markland

July 31, 2026, is the 40th anniversary of my call to the bar, just 1 signature event in my life. That is the passage of some time; it is 14,612 days or in more accurate terms it is 9992 working days. It does not feel like there were 4620 days off; such is the reality of lawyering.

As some businesses close in #yegdt we were thrilled to visit the newly opened Solar Brunch on Jasper Ave & 104St. Excellent space, service & food! Looking forward to eating our way through their menu. Welcome to the ‘hood.

That 6% saving for Alberta Ratepayers has a big caveat. It is "all other things being equal". I can tell you they rarely are.

As a urban cyclist, one must always be hyper aware. Stay safe.

#yegbike Do you find that there are more dangerous drivers out there lately? Speeding, in a rush, not following rules, crotch-driving, not paying attention or aware of surroundings... the list goes on. Not going to stop me from riding. Just need to be extra careful out there.

And Irony died in Alberta.

If the "rule of law" were a book, who would you trust to rewrite that book? Would you want a politician, a populist elected to office for 1 or 2 terms? Or Would you want input from a broad range of winners and losers, practical and academic, and historians and visionaries? This is where we are at.

current concern Alberta March 2026 Having practiced law in Alberta for close to 40 years please trust me when I say - we need to appoint judges on merit. excessive Party politics has no place in the independent Judiciary.

I will take diversity over division everyday.

Alberta's future isn't about choosing between sectors or pitting workers against employers. A resilient economy draws on every strength we have. Diversification, not division. That's the Alberta advantage we're fighting for and the vision we shared with the Alberta Chambers of Commerce.
