The PFLP issues a statement calling upon university students in the West to "immediately take to the streets" for Gaza and "besiege the White House and the Pentagon" to intensify pressure on the American government.

It’s barely been 12 hours and the apartheid state has already occupied more Syrian land beyond the Golan, and launched airstrikes on Damascus.

The Israeli military has crossed into Quneitra. Post-Assad Syria is only a few hours old and it’s already being invaded by the apartheid state.

How do we have 800 of these articles and none contend with the fundamental issue which is rich liberals don’t want to fund left media, they want to fund liberal media which is bloodless and partisan, by definition. GOP courts its extremes, liberals discipline theirs. www.nytimes.com/2024/11/28/u...

nytimes.comRepublicans Built an Ecosystem of Influencers. Some Democrats Want One, Too.Democrats were badly outflanked online in the election, and progressive influencers are now trying to create networks to be a left-wing answer to Turning Point USA.

for over a year, US media has helped the WH distance itself from the horrors of Gaza by employing 3, largely fictitious reporting genres. I and my pseudonymous co-author detailed these 3 genres and how they helped successfully take pressure off the Biden admin www.thenation.com/article/soci...

nowhere that i can say this where anyone will really see it, but i think i've come around to the opinion that Biden staying in (and admittedly probably losing) is best for the left of the party. Don't want to set up some purple state conservadem incumbent who will be running the show in 2028.

thinking about an R.A. Lafferty story that meant a lot to me when I was like 25, about successful older people who don't understand the kids these days. The kids all kill themselves, and you have a guy communicating with his daughter by pulling messages out of her body which has turned into sawdust.

woo found an osteopath yesterday who thinks she can fix my running issues, but that it would take like 2 months. would rule if she is correct. for some reason a lot of focus seems to be on my jaw. I am now convinced that it is much more coupled to the rest of the movement chain than i realized.

watching Kemonozume today. Pretty cool show. It's the first one Yuasa directed, and I am really enjoying seeing how his unique style looks like when he presumably had a much smaller budget.

as a longtime accountless twitter lurker, i used to read it by just scrolling the profiles of people i thought were interesting. that stopped being possible for about a month, and now is again. however, tweets are now arranged in order of most likes rather than chronologically.

makes it completely useless for following anything, but has this nice feel of like the high score screen you get at the end of an old video game. tallying up everyone's scores now that it's all over with.

i love random german peanut butter branding. making a sandwich this morning and my options are "bill and john the peanut bros" or "peanut revolution". obviously everything else on the jars is in german

i also used to play a lot of dominions 5. i would like to again, but i don't because it takes over my brain and destroys my life. but i was really good. 9 games joined, 5 won, 1 lost, 3 everyone quit due to drama or the game going on forever with no winner in sight.

i used to play a lot of nethack. it is good that i don't anymore, because games are bad for my brain, but the main reason i stopped was because only my barely-functional 2012 laptop has the necessary num pad.

https://www.theverge.com/23753963/google-seo-shopify-small-business-ai I thought this article was interesting and relevant to some stuff I've seen talked about on here. I dunno how the internet should be organized, but the google "x + reddit" thing is the direction i am vaguely pointed at

theverge.comThe store is for people, but the storefront is for robotsSelling real things to real people means writing a steady stream of nonsense text that only web crawlers will ever read.

in 2013, I used to stalk my ex's tumblr. In the short period of time between her nuking her blog and her dying, it was replaced with a surreal three paragraphs about car mats. I feel like I am slightly closer now to understanding what that was.

I often get angry when I think a certain aesthetic decision just might be AI. Need to resurrect Borges so he can write a Pierre Menard about all this. I certainly haven't figured it all out.
