Of all the things I had on my Bingo card in this fucked up timeline, Mike Tomlin being one of the most prolific Minecraft creators was definitely not one of them. That said, it is a delightful surprise.

It is a HUGE problem , failure, and indictment with and of our system that one of the literal worst humans to have ever lived was able to single-handedly build effectively a supermajority within a body that basically makes the rules and effectively has no oversight, nor end.

I simply cannot get out of my head how simple political life used to be. Dukakis: wearing a helmet in a tank? Loser. Quail misspelling potatoes? Dunce. Dean getting overly excited in a speech? Maniac. Trump doing ALL THE BAD THINGS? Best. President. Since. Lincoln. Baffling.

Trump‘s entire political career has been predicated on owning the libs. Jon Ossoff has now stepped up and said you know what I’m gonna build a movement on owning Trump. And it’s working. And more Democrats need to adopt this strategy because this shitbag is HISTORICALLY unpopular.

It’s not just attacking Trump, though. It’s how he’s doing it. He’s hitting him on his own ground. Schoolyard insults. When they go low we go high? I love MO, but those rules don’t work with this dude and his base. What Ossoff is doing might. At least it’s getting a rise out of the administration.

I thoroughly enjoy that a single mention of a little-known administrative aide by a prominent Democratic politician has elicited an absolute firestorm from the MAGAsphere. The best kind of confirmation.

There is no such thing as a “liberal bubble”. It is simply a place where radical, fascist, racist right-wing ideology is rightfully shunned and not artificially amplified.

I am utterly disgusted with the craven farce of a hearing that Dr. Fauci has been put through. To see a man who dedicated his life to using science to help and advance mankind be disrespected by these ignorant scumbags is a disgraceful embarrassment to this country.

We (Gen X) grew up being told that Capitalism was the fastest (and, in fact the only) way for humans to progress. And any technological development the US achieved was singularly because of the free market system.

A proper society rewards innovation and effort on the part of its populace, yes. However, we have strayed so far from that concept that it’s a small dot in the rear view mirror at this point.

Republican Timeline: “There's no honorable way to kill, no gentle way to destroy. There is nothing good in war” - Lincoln “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall” - Reagan “Open the fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah” - Trump (on Easter)

Donald Trump will leave this world knowing in his heart of hearts that he never measured up, even a little bit, to Barack Obama. And that tortures him. And, as a result, us.

Moving $10 billion to his slush fund, I mean “Board of Peace”, and suing his own government for investigating his very real crimes. Where do these payouts come from? Yours and my pockets. Where is Congress and the judiciary while this happens? Checks and balances my fucking ass.

I don’t care what they tell you you saw. You saw what you saw, I saw what I saw, we all saw what we saw. It’s way tougher to fully implement fascism when the evidence is from multiple angles and perfectly clear…but only if those meant to provide the checks actually do so. Congress, wake the fuck up

One of the most disheartening thoughts I’ve had as of late is: “Donald Trump’s success shows that you don’t need to be empathetic, kind, attractive, intelligent or selfless to gain power. You just need to be a bully.” It’s a very easy trap to fall into and can make the outlook pretty bleak.

But then I remember that Donald Trump didn’t get where he is simply because he is a bully. He got there as the result of perhaps the most sophisticated foreign influence campaign ever orchestrated. We destroyed Russia’s economy…they destroyed our soul in return.

At least we know that while federal agents are killing people for using cell phones and the country is going to shit, Trump was working hard playing golf, hosting a screening for Melania’s movie, and rage-posting about his ballroom.

A HUGE part of the problem here is that all of the people calling the shots in the government are literal mental children. They all have the reasoning and rationality of a 7-year-old. It’s straight up bananas

I used to give “one issue voters” a super hard time. And yet, I find myself desperately wanting to vote for anyone who runs on the “arrest, prosecute and sentence literally every person remotely involved in any of this” platform.

I hate being online and want nothing more than to disconnect, but in this moment it feels like the very bare minimum of my civic duty is to keep my eyes wide open and to continue to talk about The Horrors.
