For a junk drawer to legally qualify as a real junk drawer, what is the ONE absolutely mandatory item it must include? A key whose provenance has not been known for at least a generation.

Reaident Evil Requiem is awful. It’s a remake of 6, pastry-stuffed with a melange of Amnesia and Last of Us. Why is crafting ink ribbons a fucking thing? Ink ribbons make sense, limit checkpoints and make death matter. Crafting is just an Extra Step.

Just because I disagree with you does not mean I hate you. I hate you because he showed us who he was & you voted for him again anyway. You did that not because you’re ignorant, but because you support the hate, the divisiveness, the ugly. I’d say go fck yourself but-Actually, yes let’s go w that.

The Venn diagram of people who “support women’s sports” as a cudgel against trans people and people who have ever watched or supported a women’s sport in their lives that didn’t involve a family member is two unconnected circles.

Having steadily played video games for 30+ years at this point, my new metric for what makes a truly bad game is whether or not you need to rely on spamming a move to make progress. Ninja Gaiden, looking at you!

In Schumer’s defense, it’s important to bide Democrats’ time doing nothing in the minority, letting the GOP hoist themselves by awful, destructive petards, so that Democrats can do nothing as the majority too.

There is a lot about this that is infuriating. I am most infurious at protest voters and other people with which I share a point of view electing not to vote for Not This because [insert reason Harris wasn’t Perfect TM] Elections are always a choice.

In my lifetime we’ve gone from the impromptu, hijacked concert in A Goofy Movie being a silly fun reflection of disobedience, to modern students who would probably think they are in an active shooter situation.

One possibility for why libertarians are so quiet through all of Trump’s overreach is they share the views. I think the more likely is cowardice: decades of cosplaying Gadsden and crying fascism when screaming at a safe target you secretly know is safe. But now that they need their voice they hide.

Restaurants, movie theaters, and retail have all managed to survive and remain beloved, if smaller, in spite of tech telling us they’d all be killed by progress. I’m increasingly thinking (and I’m a tech worker!) that tech people don’t understand that something can have value just by being enjoyable

There is no appreciable movement from libertarians or independents against the deployment of troops into our cities. I have put a LOT of effort into trying to understand opposing views because I want to make things work for the most people possible. Turns out tons of it is just utter bullshit.

I just had an awful premonition: I was thinking about how certain views in Seattle will now only be good when we’re not in wildfire season, and I’m now certain our future contains surge pricing for restaurants.

As someone raised around guns, who learned to use them safely, and generally enjoyed them, the last 10+ years have really sucked, because I see no place for myself in the culture. The idea that second amendment maximalism will make us safer is just indefensible. 1/6

If we want to have a functioning society and guns, we need gun laws. This isn’t that, this is a test run for whether restriction of civil liberties is acceptable if it’s restricting liberty for “the right people.” 6/6

This is not a very good argument; most of it is made either on misinformation about history, or misunderstanding of how other countries live (spoiler alert: they have pleeeeenty of liberty even with gun laws) 4/6
