The new C concourse atrium at Seatac Airport has a real "we have McDonald's at home" vibe compared to the Jewel Changi Airport in Singapore.

Pretty clear that Trump/Hegseth are doing everything they can to force Ukraine to surrender to Putin by withholding all US assistance while actively helping fund the Russian war machine to kill as many civilians as possible including kids. What a dark, evil chapter in US history.

There is absolutely no viable path forward for this country that doesn’t hinge on extreme accountability for everyone involved in this administration. They’re going to whine about politicization and credulous media types will echo them, but the thing is, they’ve committed tons of obvious crimes!

I do not think an exec branch led by a man who thinks he is entitled to treat federal agents as an arm of his firm, refers to Somali Americans as “garbage” and has said racist things specifically about Omar is capable of neutrally applying the law to her, to put it mildly apnews.com/article/ilha...

The American Dream—buying a house in the suburbs and watching it increase in value to the point where subsequent generations need to move farther and farther out to obtain the same thing at a comparable price, but with an even more soul-crushing commute—was always a Ponzi scheme.

Just a reminder that these Haitian immigrants in Springfield -- who came here legally, did everything they were asked to do and more -- became a target of federal crackdowns because the white nationalist vice president shamelessly spread racist lies about them.

A Haitian man legally immigrated to Ohio, then was given an ankle monitor bc Trump withdrew his status. He threw himself in front of truck. The trucker, who voted for Trump, is haunted. “Pierre was doing what he was supposed to do. We did not do right by him.” www.theatlantic.com/politics/202...

Once again, they didn't even bother to spend five minutes checking the one specific, verifiable detail that was actually in these texts: State Farm Arena, where the Atlanta Hawks play, HAS NO "ROW 1" IN SECTION 109. Anyone could have verified this with an extremely easy search. They didn't bother.

Frank Amari @frankamari.bsky.social

Eric Schmitt was warned about the Jack Smith texts. He used them anyway. As Republicans on Capitol Hill try to figure out how Eric Schmitt’s bombshell fell apart so embarrassingly, it turns out he was warned that the texts were unvetted. www.ms.now/news/eric-sc...

Rep. Rich McCormick on data centers: "They're not gonna use your water. They're gonna keep your electricity rate low. They're gonna pay for your teachers, schools, roads, most likely your property taxes. You're gonna have more jobs. It's gonna be an amazing thing to have in your neighborhood."

Possible the text on their gotcha board says "row 1" (number) not "row I" (letter) but it doesn't matter because the Atlanta Hawks' area has neither in section 109. The U. of Maryland arena, where Jack Smith _actually_ was that day, does indeed have a Row 1 in section 109, of course.

Klobuchar has Schmitt dead to rights: "The game in fact was in Maryland. For a senator to have false information & imply, based on confusion about name of a team, that you were in another city & somehow involved that day in what was happening in Georgia & call you a 'dirtbag' deserves an apology"

This show is easily among the happiest (& zaniest) experiences I've ever had doing voiceover. Great scripts. Great cast. Great FUN! Now: Let's... Get... DANGEROUS!!! #DarkwingDuck #DisneyPlus

"Sure, it costs you an arm and a leg to fill up your gas tank, but at least the US is losing a pointless war that we never should have started in the first place!"

$5.80 now. Up 50 cents in six months. Very cool. Super sustainable. #gasprices

One month ago I bought gas at this same San Diego-area Costco for $4.20 per gallon. Today: $5.30!

"the street is a historic landmark" has to be one of the stupidest things I've ever read. 🤦

Qagggy!@qagggy.bsky.social

You probably saw this coming but things went seriously sideways after that. Turns out the street is a historic landmark. Any change has to be approved by the Parks Department and the Landmarks Board.

House GOP leaders cancel votes on Thursday - sending lawmakers home later today until after the elections. That means the House can avoid a vote on the Hegseth impeachment plan from Rep. Thomas Massie R-KY.

The pro-crypto CLARITY Act failed to advance in the Senate after every single Democrat (and four Republicans) voted it down. Reminder: crypto is a giant Ponzi scheme. Its only practical uses are for fraud, speculation, and crime. Glad to see Congress wake up to reality.

Emmer says Republicans need to talk more about grocery prices that aren't expensive: "Eggs are at pre-pandemic prices. Ah, beef is at, ah, less than $2 a pound for ground beef ... I think we have a lot to run on."

Ms. Rachel: "Ed Sheeran had an opportunity…Instead he caved to people who refuse to accept what the world knows." "If more than 20,000 white children were killed…everyone would be shouting…Treating some children's lives as less worthy of outrage is racist. Silence during a genocide is not neutral."

New: Macklemore says Robert Kraft — who owns Gillette Stadium, where Macklemore & Ed Sheeran were to perform later this month — called Sheeran. Kraft rallied other owners together behind an ultimatum for Sheeran: if Macklemore stays on the tour, you won't be allowed in our venues.

I've never been a big fan of Macklemore, but huge respect for him taking a clear, firm stand on this.

Just did a quick look around and I don't see very many headlines about the President of the US making people pledge allegiance to him personally while telling everyone to commit election fraud and "cheat like hell" to support his party. Seems like it should be a story?

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "Please right your right hand. I pledge to the greatest president in the history of the United States. That loves us so much he can't even breath. That I will go out with my family, my friends, I'll do it any way - I don't care if I'm registered or not, I'm going to try to cheat like hell..."
