A game I think really got slept on is Deathloop. Extremely stylish, interesting conceit, fun protagonist, leans into Arkane’s main strength i.e. sending you on stealth missions to kill a bunch of weird perverts

Games are made by people and game studios are made of people but game studios are also made of institutional knowledge, continuity, practices, standards, technology, resources, and IP. And those things do mean something, and it is a loss when they're discarded.

The Killing Stone is out today and it's one of the best games I've played this year. I say that as someone who has no interest at all in deckbuilders or card games. On the surface, this would not be 'for me' at all. But I've played it start to finish in three days. An all timer.

Night 20 of #31nightsofhorror: We saw Prince of Darkness in a theater for the first time. It's not my favorite John Carpenter, but I love all the Nigel Kneale-like science scenes. "Say goodbye to classical reality, because our logic collapses on the subatomic level... into ghosts and shadows."
