It's really important to pay attention to the fact that Lula beat the fascist candidate not by compromising and trying to meet fascist voters in the middle, but by sticking to his guns, promising prosecutions for election interference, and mobilising his own voters to turn out in greater numbers.

Good Will Hunting sequel where he loses his maths job to AI so now him and his Fields medalist pals are all working the construction site together

I could work for another year straight saving everything but food and rent and finally have enough saved for bottom surgery. But the idea of doing that is spiritually painful. Trading time for body parts is nowhere near as cool as it sounds.

UK submariners have a huge problem with sexual harassment, being a woman deep in the ocean locked up with men who feel like they deserve access to your body is already a horror movie in concept. But now for trans women in the navy it's mandatory

🚨 Breaking: New guidance from the Ministry of Defence, seen by QueerAF, sets out that Trans service members will be "accommodated in line with their biological sex" www.wearequeeraf.com/uk-trans-arm...

My Brow reduction surgeon once said "hey while im in there(my skull) i can fix your deviated septum if you like" and I said no, like a fool

It really shows just how little people care or pay attention to what's happening to trans people when Nigel Farage is promising to do what Labour have already done.

Hey so what is there actually to be done? I dont see any path to things getting better and I dont have the money to leave the country so emotionally im resigned to the 2036 detransition camps

So the head of communications at the UK Supreme Court is a massive transphobe. The “excellent” article he refers was, objectively, very far from excellent. Anyone with his level of literacy would know this.

Just in case anyone doesn’t know the BBC article he’s referring to, it was SO bad, and the stink SO smelly, it got its own Wikipedia page. Its main transphobe source turned out to be a notorious violent sex abuser, something the journalist knew before publishing. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%22We%2...

Chapter 18, the conclusion of Who Made the Lamb, a travelogue of London life, is now available. C/W for: pretentious poetry, ghosting, drama, heavy-handed symbolism, foul language, more French, a kiss, ambiguity. www.scribblehub.com/read/1538792...

A while back I bought a Which? Magazine subscription because I was upset that easily accessible product reviews were AI/Astroturfed And like yeah on one hand its paying money to be better at paying more money but on the other the umbrella they recommended rocks and is one of my favourite posessions

After spending my early/mid 20's depressed and run down etc I've been trained to expect that some days ill wake up feeling bad and that's just how it's going to be for the day But today I just had another hour of sleep and woke up feeling great and its a nice reminder im over that part of my life

Listening to Bo Burnhams inside again now that in 29 and thinking about how im so much happier than he is in this Special and how much less stressed I am about turning 30 than him I think the difference is that I transitioned 10 years ago and he won't transition until roughly 2029

Replying to @reactiveashley.cat

Below is a letter sent by Tom Hayes, Labour MP Bournemouth East to the Mary-Anne Stephenson at the EHRC, with Bridget Phillipson and Liv Bailey cc'd. The reply will be evasive, no doubt. But I hope it results in some pressure to change.

We have to end the BBC. We have to end the Times. We have to end the Telegraph, the Mail, the Guardian. Journalism in the UK is racist, transphobic, anti-immigrant, anti-traveller, ableist, and overall staggeringly irresponsible. It must be stopped.

Dave Vetter@davidrvetter.bsky.social

I almost can't believe this, but *right now*, BBC Radio 4 is broadcasting a programme about the scourge of illegal immigration, through a lens of faux concern.

"Women's health clinics offering breast screenings would be unable to provide this service to trans women. This is despite the fact that trans women who have had more than five years of Gender-Affirming Hormons Therapy (GHAT) are forty-seven times more likely to develop breast cancer than men"

It appears the government won't be satisfied until it has hounded trans people out of society altogether. The Government are choosing every moment and mechanism they can to demonstrate they don't care about their lives. We have to draw the line. Reject the framework.
