The sheep, out of hatred for the rabbits, voted for the wolf to preside over the farm. They all died. Even the chickens, who didn't vote.

R.i.P. Don Nelson. My favorite NBA coach of all time. I'll never forget his response to a reporter's question about what he thought about that night's NBA refs. His classic reply: "They all suck" has lived in my head for decades! A great coach and a great human who lived his life freely.

The NYT's said it correctly: we have TACO and CRACO (Congressional Republicans Always Chicken Out)! You just knew Murkowski was going to fold. When is the last time she actually voted against a Republican bill? She just plays tough... gets concessions (pork and exemptions)..... and caves.

Now Murkowski is saying the bill isn't good enough and she hopes the House will recognize that and fix it! What a wimp. Why didn't she hold her vote and either fix it or shitcan it in the Senate? Why????....... see above!

My son asked me "how do you know if someone isn't qualified to be in Congress". I said,"well, one clue might be if they can't name the three Branches of Government." Instead we have morons like Tommy Tuberville elected because he was a football coach! The US system has become a joke. A bad joke.

How do I stop the sudden barrage I'm getting on my Blue Sky feed of animation postings? I'm not interested in gamers and any animation postings and it has become so pervasive that I may need to just erase my present account and start over.

Again we have a repeated example of so-called deficit hawks saying they're going to obstruct and not vote for a House bill sure to raise the national debt, sure to mainly benefit the rich and and also raise the load on the lower classes-who then vote for it. It's bait and switch again. Disgusting.

The NYT has taken to hiding behind their paywalls I guess. Reporting the actual truth and actual events has taken a back seat. They've been on my questionable list ever since they supported Bush's invasion of Iraq despite no evidence. What a shame. What news sources in America tell the truth anymore?

Fuck off, @nytimes.com What a failure you've become.

Well obviously the Hand's Off protests won't phase the Orange Fungus much but if it can change any Republican congress person's vote then it's worth it. What any of them say in support means nothing until they back it up with a an actual vote! We'll see.

Getting hung up on "what your pronouns are" seems to me a privileged argument that the poor, the ignored, and the suppressed don't have the energy to contest. This sort of upper class intellectualism contributed to the Maga election of the Orange fungus, IMO.

I think there are strong vocal leaders in the Democratic party but the conservative, or fearful, media simply won't give them equal airtime. Eric Alterman's 2003 book "What Liberal Media" is never more true than now. The media has been sabotaged, systematically, by the ultra right since before 2003.

I expect more Republican congress members to speak out about the foolishness of tariffs........ but until they back it up with voting against them (which they have the power to stop) it means nothing.

Tariff mania only reinforces why I'm glad I moved to Costa Rica 14 years ago after GB was elected the second time. Now I live on a mountain with gardens, a view of the ocean, and no air pollution. I feel like I got lucky and left Germany in 1930 somehow.

Yeah it’s not just the corruption. It’s the way individual people are demeaned, hurt and afraid. It’s bullying at its worst. Maddening.

My friend said she and her mom agreed not to speak Spanish to each other in public anymore. Oh man, that hit hard. I’m so sorry this is who we’ve become.

What I want to know is why is there only one Bishop asking Trump to have mercy on people? Seems like a trait that Jesus, among others, would advocate for without hesitation. Appears like what we need is more female Bishops. Not less.

My daughter sent me an astrological pie chart for the sun sign Taurus. One sliver simply said Bakeries. Perfect timing. I was sitting in a foreign country inside a bakery eating a pastry. Bought another to celebrate! ♉ Why fight against the tide?

When you know you know. I still suffer from IKEA PTSD? 😊

Exhausted and dehydrated, I slowly walk the last few steps. “This has to be it,” I think to myself. Taking a deep breath, I close my eyes and turn the handle, whispering a little prayer as I step through. I open my eyes and the last trickle of hope leaks away. I am still in IKEA.

I've been through many genres of music in my day but none had any greater effect on me than Peter, Paul and Mary. Their harmonies are embedded in my soul and have helped shape my musical approach to singing permanently. RIP to Peter who now joins Mary on the other side...where music is a constant.

A single 400-year-old ancient oak produces 234,000 litres of oxygen a year while soaking up carbon dioxide, and can support more than 2,000 species of bird, insect, fungus, and lichen. Nature is amazing - we need more of it, not less. Please repost if you agree 🌳
