Playing a FRLG ROM hack on my Retroid 5 that adds in all later Gen Pokemon, and I just found a god damn full-odds shiny Yamper. So at least I've got that going for me, which is nice.

I've been doing interviews with indie devs for a year+ now, and I've been loving every minute of it. And now, those interviews have a home of their own! I just launched Dev_Com as its own channel, and any support you could show, I'd appreciate it! Got big plans coming too! youtube.com/@dev_comyt

It always sucks when people lose their jobs, but the closure of a storied studio such as Bioware stings just that little bit more. And as a massive fan of their games (Baldur's Gate, KotOR and the Mass Effect Trilogy are in my top 10 games of all time) this one hurts. Fuck private equity.

1000% back up the Pokemon Conquest recommendation.

After using this thing for over two weeks now, thoroughly putting it through its paces, I think the Steam Controller may be the best controller of all time in my opinion. My only complaint is the inline sticks, as I prefer the Xbox-style offset sticks, but I have gotten used to it pretty quickly.

"Indies will save us" No! YOU WILL SAVE INDIES! Go leave a review for that neat indie game you like, share the trailer for an upcoming game you're anticipating, tell your fave developer they did a good job, go tell people about such and such game that's just come out, you can make a difference!

Are there any pre-workouts out there that aren't either super sour or sickly sweet? It's like every flavor from every brand I try either wants to melt my tongue, or taste like they have a melted down bag of jolly ranchers in each scoop.

Adam Pyle aka SyncError was working on finishing Quake Champions with an "end of live service" update that would remove the monetization, and replace the servers with private servers and a server browser, we just got a massive bugfix and balance update like 3 weeks ago He was laid off today

I really want someone who is on trial for robbery to use the argument that if it's ok for congress to commit crimes (insider trading) because the cost of living is too high, then robbing a bank should be ok to do as well. Mike Johnson said so after all.

And yet, the moment that happened, we're seeing people of color being discriminated against. And for people who don't understand, and it seems to be lost in the convo. It's about representation. We want a black person who understands us to represent us. I don't see why it's so hard to understand.

If you do not say the full title of BRAZILIAN DRUG DEALER 3: I OPENED A PORTAL TO HELL IN THE FAVELA TRYING TO REVIVE MIT AIA I NEED TO CLOSE IT every time, then you are not doing BRAZILIAN DRUG DEALER 3: I OPENED A PORTAL TO HELL IN THE FAVELA TRYING TO REVIVE MIT AIA I NEED TO CLOSE IT justice.

Also it is incredibly difficult to fit that title into a post twice. That title of course being BRAZILIAN DRUG DEALER 3: I OPENED A PORTAL TO HELL IN THE FAVELA TRYING TO REVIVE MIT AIA I NEED TO CLOSE IT.

Hey look, NVIDIA's new "make your games run like shit, while somehow looking more vomit-inducing" tech has dropped. Hate this.

Having played a little bit solo, it is fun. But it is definitely something you should be playing with a full squad. Doesn't feel super solo friendly, despite having an entire build designed around it.

Played three hours of the Marathon Server Slam with a friend, I like it! 🧵 My perspective on the genre is 150hrs in Arc Raiders, but not really ever clicking with Tarkov. Never got big into Destiny either, but I have played every Halo.

Took a break from work, and decided to spend it like this instead of doom-scrolling. You don't really grasp just how fragile this design is until you build a model and it has to deal with the realities of gravity. If I look at this thing wrong the saucer and nacelles fall off... I still love it.

Between working on learning how to hand paint pixel art textures, and checking out all the awesome demos released as part of Steam Next Fest, I'm in quite the game development mood...

When video games get adapted into film badly, fans often argue that it's because they didn't stick close enough to the source material. The Mortuary Assistant's movie adaptation is a prime example of the opposite being true.

Don't get me wrong, there were some high points. The Mortuary itself felt well realized and sufficiently spooky, and Willa Holland did the best she could with what she was given. The problem is, she wasn't given anything all that appealing.

As someone who absolutely adores the game, I really wanted to like this movie. Sadly, I don't think I'll ever be revisiting it. At least the game is still there for me to enjoy.

The movie insists on sticking to the game's mechanics so closely (while at-best haphazardly incorporating the lore of the game) that it felt less like a proper narrative experience, and more like watching the most un-fun let's play of the game imaginable.

Iron Lung is a solid feature film directorial debut from Markiplier! He impressed me with his dramatic acting chops, and while it does overstay its welcome, it mostly succeeds as a contained thriller. A comfortable recommendation!

Same.
