Calls for far-right thug Danny Tommo’s arrest after he slashes rescue dinghy www.thecanary.co/skwawkbox/20...
If Labour and the police authorities stand by and do nothing in the face of evidence like this, then they are complicit in an attempted murder.
This is a disgrace. Brave RNLI volunteers being called scum for risking their lives to save others at sea is just plain wrong. So I've signed an open letter of thanks for the RNLI letting them know these thugs do not speak for the rest of us. Add your name? act.38degrees.org.uk/act/rnli-tha...

The problem is that teachers are teaching products of a broken society, where many parents have little hope for the future, where there’s little money to cover the basics and in town that are “left behind” and where there’s little money are no jobs.
Jason's 30 marathons in 35 days was a life-defining achievement.
And everything I have referenced so far was available for journalists to find.
But they chose to claim there was "no evidence" of it happening.
Imagine what that must have felt like for him 😢

Guardian reports on Jason meeting Andy Murray after his then-girlfriend nominated him for the TV show "Suprise Suprise"

Jason is an Olympic torch bearer.
England Athletics writes about Arday in their "celebrating our volunteers" piece.
Jason talks about his fundraising in collective terms - "I've been involved in", "our fundraising projects"
Also 13th August 2010
Your Local Guardian interviewed the director of fundraising and marketing at Shooting Star, who cycled his 24th marathon with him.
3 colleagues were also reported running with him for part of that marathon

Let's take a look at all the information that was publicly available at the time these journalists were claiming "no evidence"
First up, we have his GoFundMe page set up before the event, detailing the dates he was running and showing the £6,285 he raised through online donations

One of the first "outrageous" claims I saw as Jason Arday's media hounding unfolded was that he ran 30 marathons in 35 days!
Wow!
What a thing to claim!
And the newspapers all suggested there was no evidence he actually did it.
Well, they clearly didn't look very hard 🙄

Culture wars are not a natural phenomenon. And there will be another Arday. It’s not if but when. It’s not an aberration, it’s the business model. We have to get wiser about not just who’s behind them but how we fight back
Did you know a barrister is facing prison just for reminding a jury they have the right to vote with their conscience? This historic right has existed since 1670. We can't let it be silenced in court now. Add your name to help protect Britain's juries: you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/sa...
I often think bus drivers are unsung heros in many ways: coping with traffic issues; impatient drivers who do anything to get past them;
rude customers etc. So I'm sending a huge 'thank you' to all our bus drivers especially working in the intense heat this week. You are appreciated ❤️
Yesterday I witnessed something extraordinary: the author Sarah Wynn-Williams sitting silent on a stage at @hayfestival.bsky.social. And she got a standing ovation.
I hope the attempt to censor her backfires magnificently. I have just ordered her book.

When a loud noise is unexpected, it's a normal & healthy physiologic response to look *toward* the noise. This *automatic* human reaction helps us to identify potential danger and determine whether we're safe. Not looking toward the noise is *highly indicative* of foreknowledge. #BodyLanguageExpert
Are pensioners who are most prone to using the NHS for free anytime, and at the same time vote for this lying sack of sh*t, going to wake up? #UKPolitics
Every photo from Minneapolis looks like this. Cops decked out with guns and full tac gear facing off against people in bathrobes, parkas, and sweatpants armed only with whistles and cell phones.
Yet every verified MAGA chode on X dutifully calls it a riot or violent insurrection.
Today, waiting lists are down by more than 312,000 since Labour came into government - with an 86,000 drop in November alone.
That's the second biggest drop in 15 years.🎉

@markaldridge.info Hi. Sorry for more questions, but I found this yesterday. Do you recognize it? Is it the Adventure of the Cheap Flat? It was in a newspaper dated 3 Aug 1929. Apparently the Mail was running it the following Monday.
@markaldridge.info Hi. I am wondering about the order in which the short stories were filmed in the Poirot series. Was the order they chose for the first series governed by anything other that those Rosalind Hicks allowed/selected/approved?
@christietime.bsky.social I have really enjoyed all of these podcasts, 'At Bertram's Hotel" and "Nemesis" are 2 of my favourite Christie's. I also like (but I am probably in a fan club of 1) "Elephants can Remember". I have really appreciated a considered look at her work during the 60s.
