This is much the same impression I've gotten most times I've tried LLM-assisted engineering. It has failed to question poor approaches (even when hinted at), it doesn't manage scope, and it doesn't really seem to settle for anything as being good enough or done.

I think the culture of block and move on has been lost completely from this website. It's been long enough for me to say that the difference in culture is no longer just vague, but very tangible. The entire platform is designed to mimic twitter circa 2016 so it's no surprise that's where it went

I think what I'm getting at is that bsky never had any potential to be better than Twitter. The degradation was inevitable and projected from day one. They wanted it to be built around parasocial relationships and some kind of idealised public marketplace of ideas.

Fediverse remains the only non-encrypted online space I feel I can speak relatively freely in. This would simply not be the case were it not built by international, problematic transsexuals who detest the commercialisation of social interaction. We must build our own liberation.

Fediverse culture is built by disabled transsexuals. They curated a culture that would allow vent-posting and discussions of heavy subjects while letting people opt out of seeing only doom and gloom. This was the only way for them to create usable social media, and it flourished.

One very interesting perspective raised to me recently is how the YPJ had to build themselves up separately from men before standing on equal grounds with the YPG. I've reasoned very similarly for a long time, I don't think allies are fundamentally capable of liberating oppressed groups.

I recall one of the bigger accounts on here saying that fediverse CW culture is so annoying. I suggested that maybe they should respect the culture they're entering into, and they blamed some vague "they" using that to censor people. "They" insinuating idk, annoying liberals? Very US-brained take.

I am immediately reminded of very the same nation's queer persecution that started about one hundred years ago. Most famously, the Nazis burned the library of the Institut für Sexualwissenschaft. Some things really haven't changed. For one, the German state is still a murderous, totalitarian one.

I honestly doubt he even clocked me and just took me for a man. I got the impression that he was trying to like, be cool and shoot the shit with the guys. The guys in question being half his age and trying to act professional and just quietly going "uhuh". I quietly got up and left for a while.
