Finally watched @joshjohnsoncomedy.bsky.social HBO special Symphony and it was great! Different vibe than his weekly Youtube videos, but very funny with story telling and a lot of heart. If art is how you decorate space and music time, comedy is how you decorate reality. <3

Maria Bamford has been one of my favorite comedians for probably 20 years now. There is no one like her, and there will never be another like her. So creative and vulnerable all while being so silly and relatable.

Judd Apatow took the time to make a documentary about her life and career, and I am so grateful that he did. It comes out October 23rd on Netflix and y’all should absolutely watch it.

And while you’re at it, go back and watch any of the many hours and half hours Maria has released over her almost 40 years performing stand up. And if you ever get the chance, go see her perform live. She is truly one of a kind. I’m so excited for this

Well I just found out something really cool. My HBO special Symphony was chosen to play on flights around the world. You can watch it on All Nippon Airways, Air France, Etihad, KLM and United, with Alaska, Hawaiian, Saudia and Delta adding it over the next couple months.

The idea that somebody could be flying halfway across the world and randomly find Symphony on their screen is kind of amazing to me. If you see it on your flight, send me a picture. I would love to see where Symphony ends up. ✈️

So, you know how @joshjohnsoncomedy.bsky.social somehow comes out with an entirely fresh hourlong set of hilarious topical material every damn week? I can now confirm that he does even more than that. The YouTube this week is *different* than the set I saw (maybe first 10 min are similar).

Hi Friends! For the first time in a long time, we may need to delay the start of tonight’s YouTube set by about 15 to 30 minutes. We’re having some upload and download issues with the file. There will still be a set tonight, but there’s a chance it may be a little late.

We had an opportunity as a tour family today to celebrate an icon and his legendary art at Paisley Park. Prince was more than an artist, and there’s a glimpse into just how special and focused on art he was in every story about him.

Plenty of people are talented, but there are only a few who know how to bring out the best in themselves and everyone else. How to share so completely that they build a community that carries on their memory.

More than music or art, everything Prince made and the way he made it represent what life is about. We get the opportunity to share tonight, and this was a reminder to share as much as possible every time. Comedy Band Camp
