If you're at a Red Sox home game and you want to send me a song request, this is the best place to do it. If you prefer to send it via Twitter, that's okay. If you prefer to send it via some other means, I may or may not see it in time. Thanks! Let's have an awesome Red Sox season together! ⚾ 🎹

I don't think I'm becoming one of those bird enthusiasts, but I did just get very excited to get up close to this juvenile Great Blue Heron in the wild.

This literally took less effort and has less impact than me taping a clock to my refrigerator and saying I invented time travel. Because at least I had to go find the tape, and I can see what time it is from my couch.

If you're at Fenway early with your scorecard on a grey drizzly 47-degree afternoon, then you deserve to meet a niece (even if it was probably Halsey's fault that Wilyer Abreu came up a HR short of the cycle in this game).

And this one was an extra special request for me. Darling by Halsey the day before I got to meet my niece for the first time 🩵

I don't even have a flip remark for this; I'm merely humbled and moved.

I've shared this before but Josh playing requests is the main reason I decided that the Sox were my team years before I actually moved to Boston and it's always one of the best parts of being at Fenway. Very happy to have gotten back there and been one of the requests on this list this year <3

Thanks! Anime is totally on the table (I've played a few such requests over the years)... general rule of thumb is: if it's something you can hum along to, then I'll make it work.

Just out of curiosity, would you ever play anime songs? I can’t 100% read the list on my phone so apologies if there are any on there already. The sheer breadth of songs you do play is amazing!

There are a few repeat offenders; beyond that, it's pretty widespread (if you consider 700-800 people -- out of Fenway's hundreds of thousands of unique visitors annually -- to be widespread).

Do you get a lot of requests from just a few people or is it spread among many requesters?

It wasn't easy to match the caliber of the original Limp Bizkit version, but after about 12 seconds of practicing, I managed to get there.

I’m actually disappointed I missed your rendition of Break Stuff.

"Honey, have you seen my lunchpail? I need to carry my sandwich and my Bruce music to work so I can enjoy them while I'm standing on a 2-ton beam suspended hundreds of feet above Asbury Park."

1) Go to a game. 2) Ask me for a song you want to hear at the game* *In exchange for playing your request, I reserve the right to gently tease you about your choice. I call this the "sass tax." That's where the expression "Let's get down to sass tax" comes from.

Brandon speaks the truth. And license renewal includes ritual sacrifice to Doug Ingle's heavenly spirit.

few know this but you are legally required to play this once every two years to renew your organist license

As much as I'd like their team to go 0-162, I can't go along with pretending that they don't have a rich heritage (past and present) of terrific live organ music.

It is the 93rd-coolest job on the planet, according to angelfire.com/cool-jobs/coolest-jobs/~organ ... playing requests makes the job 10 times harder and twice as much fun; not a great ratio for me, but I'm a sucker for fun.

Playing the organ at Fenway has gotta be one of the coolest jobs on the planet. Even cooler that Josh makes it his job to share the joy. ⚾️🎶❤️

Perfect depiction of the conversation between me and my imaginary dog after last night’s Red Sox game, from the title-page illustration in the 1st published edition (1658) of “The Witch of Edmonton” that I discovered this morning at the day job.

Another week of attempted murder (by Red Sox fans on me, and by me on song performances), but I hope this isn't the end of the line for 2026.... let's beat the Yankees next week and bring October baseball back to Fenway!

I assume this is some kind of Star Wars thing. Coming up shortly.

So I am at Pokemon night at Fenway park and it’s wild here! Hey @jtkantor.bsky.social can we get the Pokemon theme music?

I promise not to talk about that 3rd-inning organ medley of Bailey Zimmerman & Luke Combs' "Backup Plan" into Justin Bieber & Nicki Minaj's "Beauty and a Beat" into The Commodores' "Brick House" if you promise not to talk about it.

The fact that I'm willing to do this is a strong indicator of how much I love Joe McMahon.

JM@jmillz666.bsky.social

@jtkantor.bsky.social our friend Joe McMahon will be at the game tonight. Please serenade him w/some Billy Joel. Thanks brother! 🙏

According to our PA announcer (my pal Henry), that's the first 1-0 MLB victory in which the winning team had 12+ hits with no extra-base hits since the White Sox lost to the St. Louis Browns on July 5, 1946.

If that wasn't one of the three all-time best medleys of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" into Shakira's "Estoy Aquí" into Guster's "Fa Fa," then it's back to the drawing board for me.

Wouldn't it be funny if I suddenly decided to start minding? Coming up shortly.

Drew Starr@thedrewstarr.bsky.social

@jtkantor.bsky.social I have been asked to request Shakira if you don't mind!

Gearing up for playoff baseball with that 1st-inning organ medley of Kyu Sakamoto's "Sukiyaki (Ue o Muite Arukō)" into The Electric Light Orchestra's "Sweet Talkin' Woman."

The journey isn't over, but it's worth taking a moment to reflect on this.
