AAHHCHOO!!! soulistry.com/sneezing-our... Happy Thanksgiving to all Canadians and wanna-be-Canadians. :-)

Spent a lovely two hours schmoozing in the sun in a local park with School Trustee candidates. Now have my slate finalized. :-) Am impressed by the quality of the candidates: enthusiastic, passionate, exc. skills & backgrounds. Cowichan is blessed to have these candidates put their names forward.

"Soulistry: Artistry of the Soul" posts are about kindness, thoughtfulness, gentleness, love, joy, peace, creativity, truth justice - not hate, not rumour, not assumption, not negativity. Just doing my part in changing the social media climate and hopefully hearts and souls. soulistry.com/blog

soulistry.com/reconciliation Some thoughts ...

Ahhh, high school Latin. Loved it! Still do. :-) Latin has mysterious and delightful ways of saying things which in English, might not be acceptable by many. So ... a bit of Latin (or mock Latin) for the Incumbent in the White House. "Podex Perfectus Es!"

So, DJT, Canadians are 'nasty' are we, DJT? www.youtube.com/shorts/oOGiY... Depends on the meaning of the word.Yes, some times. OTOH, as I understand the meaning of the word, you and your minions, DJT, are always nasty: N — Narcissistic A — Arrogant S — Self-serving T — Threatening Y — Yappy

25 years ago today, a day known simply as 9-/11. If you don't remember 9/11. If you were a child or not born in 2011. If you don't know the story of Flight 93, check my FB page. May such a terrible event never happen again. Vote as if your life depends on it. Because it might. Never forget 9/11.

Welcome to British Columbia, Canada. Canada will never become the 51st state. "Never mistake kindness for weakness." Well done, Premier Eby.

Dolly Parton made a difference in this world. She modelled compassion, selfishness, generosity, kindness and joy, all wrapped up in delightful creativity and talent. This world is better because of her, for so many reasons. Two handmade cards made to remember her. Rest in peace, Dolly - & thank you.

Words from a wise man whose wisdom is based on countless generations. Thank you, Bishop Charleston. May your warning be heeded. May people listen. May your wisdom become embedded in the hearts, actions of those with the power to make decisions that could reverse the potential existential threat.

The Epstein files have still not been fully unredacted. Survivors continue to do what they can to keep the matter before the American public in large, small, outspoken, quiet ways. Rosie O'Donnell helped some with this project: www.instagram.com/reels/Dc0kN0... Don't let DJT get away with it.

Arva Mills (arvaflourmills.com) is Canadian. 🙂 I've just learned about them and will be ordering a number of things - starting with their potato flakes and vegetable flakes. My fall and winter soups are going to be soooo yummy and healthy! Thanks, Arva Mills.

DJT thinks he can name Lake Ontario. Such ignorance! Again!! My heart continues to ache for the people of the US who know exactly the kind of leader DJT is & are now caught in the crosshairs of the fascist agenda of DJT. Don't give way to that fear dear Americans. It's what DJT etc. want.

Tod is right ..."Donald Trump has no idea what country he's messing with." Check out this short video to see what I mean. www.youtube.com/shorts/mOdwZ... ... introducing: "Main Street Canada" — a spotlight on Canadian small businesses hit by U.S. tariffs.

Great article in Macleans magazine. Read the full article at Macleans dot ca /kelli-portnoy-42-phoenix-arizona-to-nanaimo-b-c/ Welcome to Canada - to British Columbia - to Vancouver Island, Kelli. :-)

We were given a brain to use. Let's use it! Let's "think for ourself" soulistry.com/think-for-yo... and not listen to those who have been appointed to positions of power & influence simply because they agree with ... have shown loyalty to ... are obedient to the President or his minions.

DJT isn't going to be happy to learn about this work of art, entered into competition at the Sooke Art Show on Vancouver Island (sold for $1800) by Wendy Chartrand .Sounds as if it's going to be the first of a series of manure-media political paintings. cheknews.ca/horse-manure...

Nancy McClure's latest post ("Nancy Unfiltered") on DJT, forest fires, smoke, Canada: www.facebook.com/groups/64227... "Carney didn't ask me to. Canadians did that all by ourselves. Not because anyone ordered us to. Because that's how democracies work. Citizens decide. Our gov't is doing its job."

US politicians John James, John Moolenaar, Jack Bergman, Lisa McClain wrote to Canadian PM blaming Canada for the smoke drifting across the border. Watch this www.youtube.com/shorts/zB2ZH... & recognize the lack of commonsense & intelligence clearly missing in the letter. By-elections needed now!

While millions of Americans are struggling to buy groceries, JD Vance gives a lesson in obliviousness:

Tomorrow is July 4th.“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men <sic> are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights.” "Unalienable Rights"?? Read the Declaration of Independence. Do you recognize the US today the way it was intended? I don't.

MAiD, Medical Assistance in Dying, for many, is a difficult topic. Thanks to the Anglican Church of Canada, there are now authorized "Pastoral Liturgies at the Time of Death in Context of Medically Assisted Dying" for trial use, evaluation & feedback. www.facebook.com/share/p/18Q6...

Many describe DJT as a narcissist. Greek god Narcissus, known to be cruel to others & vain beyond comparison was brought down by reflecting water! Nemesis, goddess of divine retribution, delivered retribution. Time for Nemesis to enter DJT's life. (Dutch Baroque painting by Godfried Schalcken (1676)

Thank you, Tod. Once again, you say what many are thinking/feeling. Yes, Canadians are "happy to share, (as we have in so many ways over the decades) ... " just not surrender." Great artist rendition of your tshirt design - and another great YouTube video. www.youtube.com/shorts/ifyPT...

Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) voted to move toward formally excluding women from pastoral leadership. Am in sad solidarity with those who believe they are called to ordained ministry, but will not be allowed, simply because they are women. (The Rev. Dr. June Maffin, Anglican Church of Canada).

Canadians, if you didn't get the long form census and wish you had, Tod Maffin made a hilarious long-form census you can complete (census.todmaffin.com)` and in a few weeks, will publish the results. And he's done one for Americans too: us.todmaffin.com

Give yourself a gift.Thank you author Shelby van Pelt for your imaginative novel "Remarkably Bright Creatures".Thank you Sally Field &Lewis Pullman, Marcellus (Alfred Molina) & director Olivia Newman for creating the very special movie adaptation of the book.Didn't anticipate the excellent ending.

Is an 'elderly' person one who is wise ... frail ... isn't going to live for very long ... is (or soon will be) dependent ... easily forgets things ... who ... Is there an "elderly age"? Is it 65? 75? Is it someone in the ir80's/90's/beyond? I like the words by "Rudy"-no more info known). :-)

Why is King Charles in the United States? Many have come up with ideas for the purpose of this visit but ... wait --- think --- and have a look at this short YouTube video. :-) www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0g8...

Do you need a smile right now? Could you use a tug-at-the-heart today? Want to see love-in-action? Then give yourself a treat and watch Lucciano's audition for Britain's Got Talent ... with Frankie. :-) www.facebook.com/reel/1292573... I'm still smiling & wiping the 'happy tears' from my face.

It's a new day. It's Thursday. :-) soulistry.com/welcome-thur... (and soulistry.com/blog) Welcome Thursday!

Yesterday was Siblings Day & that includes "In-law siblings" for me. My sister-in-law donated a kidney to my brother, Gerry, giving him another 5 years. :-) My kidney wasn't acceptable - hers was a perfect match! Gratitude to In-law-siblings & all who selflessly donate organs that others may live.

A simple message for today, April 7, 2026, from "Soulistry: Artistry of the Soul" (https;//soulistry.com/blog) ... soulistry.com/simple-messa... Remember To Breathe.

Many are marking today with family, friends at home, on vacation, in church celebrating Easter Sunday: a day when the man Jesus rose from the dead. Did it really happen? If so, where's the proof? One little girl thinks she knows the answers to those questions: soulistry.com/happy-easter...

It's almost Easter in the west - but not quite. What's the delay? Something here soulistry.com/saturday-the... might bring clarification. Also here: soulistry.com/blog (and type 'Easter' or 'Easter Vigil' in the Search prompt.

It's Friday. Definitely not your everyday Friday even though it's known as "Good" Friday. Huh??? Whatever can be "good" about it? War - rising prices - growing fear - vanishing medical help ... and yet for many Christians, Good Friday has a message soulistry.com/good-friday that looks forward.

Heritage Foundation's Yenor believes that women have no place in society other than serving men & bearing children. What does his wife Amy, mother of 5, think? If you want a future for the females in your family, vote as if their life depended on it ... because it will & sooner than you may think.

Just learned about the Ndbele people of South Africa and their love of colour in their clothing and houses. Decided to create two Ndebele dolls & turn into a bookmark. Love learning about other traditions. Thanks to Judy Voges for sharing her creativity and knowledge of the Ndbele people.

Balance ... it's not easy to feel 'balanced' these days. Or, is it? A Soulistry reflection: soulistry.com/wheres-the-b... and at soulistry.com/blog might shed a bit of light into this important element in our lives.
