To feel a bit better I thought I'd see how far I've come since day 1 Feb 8th this year - put on the same outfit, same location and took a photo (earlier was at night thus the worse lighting). I think I look a bit better. I know I feel a LOT better.

Sigh. Anti-affirmining morning. Got bloodwork for prostate, deadname all over the paperwork. At least it was quick, under 30 minutes car to place to car. Been 2 months+ since I sent in paperwork for my name change. Bloody slow government.

For my first transgender coming out day I did a workout and used the women's changeroom for the first time. Zero issues of course, in my sports bra and tucking so nothing visible down there. My usual scared for no reason thing.

This shows what a difference 4 workouts a week plus a good diet can do, plus 4 months of HRT. The short skirt shot is in April at a Phases of Fit get together, the shiny gold skirt is the gathering in September (last weekend). Same top. 40 lbs less. Feeling so much better, so much happier.

Went for lunch with another trans woman today (Paula) at a nice cafe. Zero rude stuff, just super polite. Then to the downtown where there was a celebration of Indian culture going on - gave us free water bottles and no bad looks or reactions. Feeling more feminine daily.

Day 1 of being fully out and I just can't stop smiling. 100% positive reactions so far. Even from people I was certain would be hesitant or negative. Part of me is mad at myself for doubting so long, the rest is so happy to just be out and living.

Feeling very nervous as I head to the vet for my first 'public' time. But given how everything else has gone, I expect just a few odd stares and maybe a few odd questions but generally to be accepted and to move on. Prepared for worse - I know it'll come sometime.

Well, anyone who looks at my new profile can see that I'm out of the closet. I am a transgender woman. I used an app to see what I'd look like as a woman according to it, hopefully in the near future I'll get a real photo of myself as a woman added in. This has been a dream of mine for 50 years.

To finally be myself and not hide behind walls. My sisters and children all are with me and fully onboard with my change. I'm petrified and excited at the same time. I'll try to post about changes now and then as I've seen others do. They inspired me, so the least I can do is post about my new life.

How long until someone rises up and starts killing the terrorists MAGA has sent out to arbitrarily arrest people who dare to speak up? Every nation needs to advise that the USA is a no-go zone now.

Video of the international student at Tufts being arrested by "federal authorities" in Massachusetts has been released and it's terrifying. They're not even uniformed officers. Just secret police thugs in hoodies and masks. From WCVB: youtu.be/PuFIs7OkzYY

Saw Cabaret last night (at a live theater in Woodstock) and boy does it hit hard with how things are going stateside. People saying 'it is just politics' and 'things wont change'. Sadly those who don't learn from history repeat it, and those who do learn see it come back due to those who won't learn

All of us who love research into space need to sign the letter of support here. Especially any Americans. This is a reminder of how messed up things are when stuff like this, where most costs are up front, are in danger of being cancelled during the low-cost, high-return stage of its life.

Chandra, the space-based observatory that brings us incredible x-ray images of the most extreme environments in the cosmos, is at risk of cancellation. It’ll be a huge loss to astronomy if the mission ends prematurely for budget reasons. Go to www.savechandra.org to find out how to help #SaveChandra
