Hey. If one ink cartridge complains about being low, learn from my mistake and check them all so you can buy the set instead of being a idiot and only buying one and now needing to buy the rest individually.

I’ve organised and ran 700 people events. Yet tomorrow’s little nursery summer fair gives me more anxiety than anything before. Unorganised organisers make my mildly panic.

Pro tip: if you forget your charger, make use of your jump car battery to charge your laptop. ( I have a 100W USB C car charger.)

I’m at #AIForTheRestOfUs, in London with @hannahfoxwell.net and see so much inclusivity designed into the event. It’s heart warming to see so much live on from my conference organising days. 🥰

Our statement on the UK gov't's demand that all content on all devices sold or used in the UK be scanned, on the presumption of nudity, using a dystopian combination of age verification & content scanning. This proposal will not safeguard children. It endangers us all. signal.org/blog/pdfs/20...

Hey ho. At #WCEU this week. Finally looked at the and there’s some really interesting topics coming up. Hopefully I’ll get to see them.

Honestly, the rollercoaster of emotions that goes along with development is something I'm not sure I miss. I am glad that my debug detective hunch still works. Had a tooling issue with a rather useless error output and managed to guess where in the config the problem was. 💪

Well it's only taken me.. i don't remember... to reinstall Git and GitHub on my laptop... Think I've been working in the terminal more today than the last 3 years. It's oddly comforting and annoying as previously.

Today I went to @mwug.uk and met two new faces. Their curiosity about the group and working their way into the web industry reminds me of myself when I was starting out. It also reminded me the power that a community has in building relationships and fostering curiosity and communities.

I wasn’t sure if investing time into hanging out and trying to restart a old meet up that has been dormant for ages was going to come anything off it, but today… Today is a day of hope and excitement. <3

Kind of annoyed the last train home is at 10pm but I have to say after a while away from the open source community, I ducking love the open source community. Thank you to everyone I met at #PfP #ProtocolsForPublishers for the chats and the talks. I needed this. I’m inspired again. Stay in touch

Also just realised I was tagging the talks earlier with a typo in the #. So on brand it hurts. Lol

“Hoarding makes everyone poorer.” “We’re in a position of data isolation.” It’s understandable for blocking and defending the data, but it has consequences. The internet is less than 1% of the world’s data. Nick Bennett - MDC #PfP #ProtocolForPlublishers

The biggest barrier of sharing data was control. And can they change their mind? Value flows back to the people who created it.

The self sabotage is at an all time high. But so is the support of people around me to counter it. Never underestimate how you impact others because so much of the tech community have helped build me into me and I’m grateful everyday.

Why do I always underestimate how long it takes to write stuff?! Especially since most of my day is spent planning, designing and writing down my thoughts on various things at work. Oh yea, thats going to take me 30 minutes - — days later.

Called a thing rubbish, 🐸 decided to grab it and take it to the bin. 🙈 Having a toddler is a crash course in clear communication.

Nice to be back at #wcsofia. Really enjoy listening to the talk in the local languages. It’s surprising how much I can guess.

If you’ve wanted to go to #ffconf but couldn’t afford it, I have a ticket spare going. Much rather it got used. ( my week’s focus got changed. 😞) Ping me.

I really miss offline mode on apps. Some people would like to use your services whilst travelling through shitty internet connections. ( I’m looking at Workable mobile app today. )

Fastest way to get disqualified from a job - send the application in a language other than the one the job posting was in. ( unless stated otherwise ) - not read the questions correctly ( giving quantitative answers to a non quantitative questions )
