Many of the people upset about the “digital games only” news from PlayStation are vastly overreacting. I’ll be the first to say that software has gotten bloated, full of ads, and there’s lots to despise. But companies going digital only will change very little in that respect.

Just to add onto this - I am not saying physical media is bad or needs to go. I personally love my physical games. But it’s both more environmentally friendly and easier for production to go digital. Instead, let’s focus on fair, enforceable, perpetual game license terms and also protect emulation!
