When i started mapping (2016) nobody told me that a certain tool is great and i should use it, but there were advice for some with their pros and cons. Same with 3d modeling Same with texturing Same with digital paiting Same with coding

So why the fuck, all of the ai bros suggest to use this and that and promise me that its great and im missing out when i didn't asked about it

Fucking discord i hope it blows why the fuck you cannot accept the invite for a server that i am sure i am not banned from, THEN you log me out of the account and add a spam warning after failing capcha even though i am sure it was right... oh and also support seems to be cringe there too

I would never like winter... It's cold, dark, wet, depressing and painful and the piles of snow are annoying.

Okay it is maybe a weird thing to ask, but do i even have any chances of finding a job or a freelance gig without any portfolio? I do have one in progress but nothing final yet

I wonder if anybody does something fancy for "everything notes"? atm im using obsidian and like it kinda works, but i dont like how cluttered it gets, i like more flat structure tbf, something akin of a 2d canvas. Also tried taking notes in minecraft but it was cluttered and had some friction

It's like... i have too many projects that i can't keep track of, i need to see instantly how much stuff i had on my mind, otherwise i would just forget about it

Windows is like: "Do you want me to sleep or update and sleep?" Chose to just sleep And in the middle of the night, you woke me up with a noise of the fans

as for materials it is just a a few flat color materials though for the dark sentient "creature" i've added maybe a bit too much glow, because without it that felt too dark, and it highlights it a bit better

and of course some post processing to hide the hideousness of it, total i think it took me like 1-2 hours on an off it in this morning, maybe a bit less if i wasn't distracting that much but yeah. Would be fun to animate it in the future

So few years ago i had an idea in mind to make a living kettle, since it kinda puns with the ketal, and i actually had a 2d vector image of it lost somewhere. And welp today while i could not fall asleep i though of it again, and i remembered that there's an Utah Teapot that might fit for that

So yeah i've downloaded the teapot and started to assemble it in blender, i had no idea how i wanted it to look so just started to make stuff, the topology is hideous and i probably would not be able to rig it even

so starting to figure that quality of my work just comes to the amount of time dedicate to it, like skill matters somewhat but really recently i can't make anything fun or good just because i start to quit after few hours of working on it

is it a bit overkill for a placeholder content warning image? (yes for me its easier to use blender and substance designer for graphic design than inkscape)

Noticed that doing more research, reference gathering and looking closely at the details made my dreams more logical and less liminal in recent years

For me it's any of the "Mario" games Maybe i am just young to understand the appeal of it but without being nostalgic for it it just seems boring. A platformer with fantasy setting. Come to think of it i am also not a fan of medieval/fantasy genres in general

Probably "Tetris". It's such a beloved, respected game... and I just find it deathly boring. :/ Otherwise, I'd say "Dark Souls". On the surface, very "me"! But the whole "drop your resources and have to retrieve them lest you lose them" is just... anti-fun for me. :/ (See also: "Hollow Knight")

i really only have 2 states of mood - damn, i feel lazy, everything is hard, i don't wanna do it that gets completely obliterated with a sudden spike of motivation into - fuck yeah that things are fun to make (and proceed to finish many tasks in a short amount of time)

So i kinda had a thought that maybe i want a fancier task manager, with sound effects and visuals, that thought then turned into a test and now i have a task manager beta but without the fun stuff yet It is also my first release of a software in a sense github.com/KETALx/taskl... #GodotEngine

So turns out you can't manually clean/remove repositories from github Top repositories sidepanel... guess it's always gonna be cluttered -_-

This will be s&box in 2027

i am hearing that the s&box people are taking their branch of source 2 and uhhh "rewriting all the systems in c#" and uhhh "removing hammer" in favour of their own level editor. if true it is perhaps the stupidest thing anyone has ever heard of or will ever hear of again

Thought about installing unreal engine 5 again, but it had so much technical friction that pissed me off completely, disabling nanite and suffering with meshes not render even though they dont use it, blueprints mess, ux being confusing. Sure can a skill issue, but its unintuitive

I wish tools like blender had a subtle ui sounds and animations, it'd be more satisfying to use. Also why does settings/keybindings in game have better ux than in most tools
