In the flood of questionable AI from tech companies, it’s nice to see some actually be centered on accessibility features that improve lives.

Don’t Let AI Write For You alexhwoods.com/dont-let-ai-... "Letting an LLM write for you is like paying somebody to work out for you." — Great, short read for writers (and thinkers).

I wrote for @zeroheight.com about the types of things automated accessibility checks can't detect when auditing and evaluating your design systems for accessibility. #a11y zeroheight.com/blog/design-...

I like a deep dive into a single HTML element. “A complete guide to the HTML number input” olliewilliams.xyz/blog/guide-t... Fair warning, `<datalist>` is still poorly supported. #HTML
Beautifully-written article on the past (and potential future) of UI design at Apple, and how it affects the wider industry. I especially like how it points out just how much beauty and thought can go into even the smallest elements of a design language.
This release fixes a 4-year-old issue and lets VoiceOver on Safari recognize form landmark regions when coupled with accessible names. Thank you @scottohara.me and the accessibility team at Apple who kept tabs to fix this over the years! #webkit #a11y
Really great to see big companies like Apple continue to develop new forms of assistive technology. #a11y

“Do Not Publish Your Designs on the Web with Figma Sites…” adrianroselli.com/2025/05/do-n... Figma announced Figma Sites, letting you publish your Figma designs directly to the web like it’s 1997. #accessibility #a11y
As people try the cool new @figma.com features like Make and Sites, please remember that AI tools are still tools, and they struggle with the human aspects of accessibility and usability. Please don’t let the excitement of these new products cause teams to bypass user testing and WCAG conformance.
Just recently learned about Primarium and it’s amazing! I love when traditional arts inspire digital projects.
This is a wonderful breakdown of the ways form elements can be built with accessibility in mind. It’s important for designers as well as developers to be aware of these techniques so specs can embody accessible patterns.
A friend shared this with me recently, and I thought it was a fascinating dive into the tactile aspects of user experience design.
