So update, I AM going with a different surgeon than who I originally booked. Nothing wrong with the first one, but now I get to stay in my own city and recover at home! She's a lil pricier but she and her whole team already made me really comfy! I will still be getting it done end of year! 🥰

Also been asked, why not go overseas - The surgeons I spoke to were not comfortable operating on me unless my BMI was at or below 30, and realistically speaking I don't think I will ever be below 30 BMI. I'm quite frankly not comfortable with doctors who form restrictions based on BMI anyway.

Like if I had breast cancer and needed a double mastectomy, we wouldn't be having a conversation about BMI in the first place. Be so for real!!

We are currently sitting at 80% for my goal!! Thank you so much everyone who has offered support! To answer some questions!! I currently have a surgery date set in November - however that date might change as I'm still going to a consultation with a 2nd surgeon this week. 🧵

So if the costs for each surgeon kinda balance out after accounting extra costs I may stay closer to home as I would prefer not to travel too far and be able to recover at home. 👌 We'll see! It's also always good to get a second opinion and see which surgeon is better for me and body. 🧵

Thank you AGAIN - donations help take a lot of pressure off of me having to make all this money myself. I'm really hoping for some good conventions these next few months 🤞 but we never really know until they happen!

The surgeon I've booked dates with is further away so obviously the costs of travel and accom. are taken into account. The other surgeon I'm seeing this week closer to me and won't require accom. but I am expecting their costs to be higher. (TBD) So we don't know yet who is the better option. 🧵
