It is kind of amazing how much more interesting Nintendo's Indie Showcases are compared to their main ones. Saw between 3-5 games in today's showcase where I went, "Yeah, I'd buy that." And that was in the span of 15 minutes. Main Directs? Shrug.

In my limited experience with Pokemon Champions, ranked battles go one of two ways: 1. I do pretty well. 2. I face someone who binge-watched all of Wolfe Glick's YouTube content, took meticulous notes, and thus annihilates me into the ground. Pretty fun.

WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME WELL DWELLER RELEASED WHAT THE HELL Now I know what I'm playing after Fortune's Weave.

Rest in Peace to Rare, who's reportedly being absorbed into Activision. Donkey Kong Country's original trilogy are among my favorite games, and I enjoyed Banjo a good deal when I got around to it. A shame.

Okay, I saw screenshots of the OoT remake while at work and thought it looked atrocious. Now that I actually watched the trailer at home on my PC, I think it looks about 80% good. Environments and natural ambiance are great. It's mostly the character designs that look like shit.

Why do they look like they were slathered in baby oil? Why does Link have, like, a trillion little things embedded into his clothing that busy his design to high hell? Why does everyone's hair look like it should be squeezed out of a Play-Doh toy? Bosses looked cool, though. Mostly just humanoids.

Watching a Top 100 list on something I'm passionate about makes me want to create my own Top 100 list on the same topic. But it would involve 100(+?) hours of commitment and work that I don't know if I have in me.

There's no obligation to like a series or a work for the rest of your life. If you're tired of it or if you realize there's something objectionable about it, you can just leave it.

My favorite part of playing Banjo-Kazooie is when I'm trying to find the last four Notes in a stage and then you accidentally step on the exit portal.
