Completely forgot to post about it but Ive now been on HRT for a week! Feels amazing to finally sort this out especially given all the increasing hostility towards trans people from the UK government. So cool that the success of my projects can fund my transition finally 😭❤️

My hope is that this influx of cash can position my team toward stable and reliable production on our main project, The Aether II, giving them stability and security so they dont need second jobs or to worry about money in these difficult times, and then eventually we move onto standalone gamedev!

Very excited to continue pouring my life and energy into making cool experiences for everyone to enjoy 😄😭

FYI we launched a MC Marketplace project called Aether Legends over the summer which has been monumentally successful. So now my business has more money than I have ever seen in my life (which Im still figuring out how to handle really) but in the short term it has given me immense financial freedom

Ive been poor my whole life, my family was poor when I was born and Ive always lived (and struggled to get by) paycheque to paycheque, so this turn of events is literally transformative to my life both in terms of financial security and also my transition journey. So thats pretty awesome!

Finished Act II of Galactic Racer Genuinely some of the most nail biting and thrilling racing Ive had in any game The whole structure of perfecting your speeder build across a whole tournament is so perfect And yeah I love this story too its so wonderfully sincere and goofy at the same time 10/10

I think Star Wars Galactic Racer might be one of the best games ever made. Genuine dream game right here holy shit!

I am so hyped that we managed to contain news of a new dimension in both games successfully for so long. It still feels crazy to be able to say “Sift” and not the codename we drilled into people. Much of the extended Dungeons team didn’t even know it was a codename, it was so secret. 🤫

Optimus Prime Awakening was a visually beautiful, but largely vapid and confused, epilogue to The Transformers The Movie Obvs no one knew it would be a send off for Peter Cullen as Optimus but good lord the message of the short could not have been more antithetical to the spirit of the character

Also idk if it was my specific cinema but the 86 movie looked blurry and hard to read throughout the showing and had noticeably poor audio mixing and quality I feel my 30th anniversary bluray looks and sounds cleaner Love the film, its a dumb insane and very fun bit of nonsense, but yeah not great

Also I know its apparently how it was shown in theatres originally but I feel they missed a mark not showing the full frame version of the movie. The 16:9 crop often makes for a difficult watch on close ups. Enjoyed seeing it on the big screen finally but felt way more compromised than Idve liked

Decided to go back and try Nintendo Switch Sports again after Resort got me quite excited. Wanted to see if its as bad as I remember or if patches and fresh eyes would improve it. Nope! Game still sucks ass!

Sony, as is tradition, absolutely finding every possible bridge to burn and thing to fuck up following a successful console generation. I can't wait for the PS6 to be an absolute omnishambles and for the PS7 to return to "oh we're so humble and pro-consumer" Actual clown show.

She is everything

The asshole in me wants to be cynical about the Ocarina of Time remake but I simply cannot. I think it looks wonderful. All the children look creepy af but otherwise it looks like a delightful way to revisit a classic in the same way Star Fox was an excellent way to enjoy 64. Quite excited.

Wait, why are they doing a Lego PlayStation? It seems to be a physical object. That doesn't align with their current approach. Should be digital legos only.

I dont mean to be a Nintendo fangirl, they're very often as horrible as their competitors. But they seem to be the only platform holder that actually understands *running a platform strategy* Playstation had a strategy last generation, one they have seemingly absolutely ruined this time round.

And the less said about Xbox lately the better

When bogged down in controversy industry wide you really need a strong showing to keep your users on side This State of Play was not that Playstation has so many talented studios and a rich suite of IPs, how is it not bankrolling an absolutely generational run of bangers the way Nintendo can?

Like I get it, GTAVI has spooked everyone away, COVID was a huge problem that we're still in the aftermath of, securing funding is harder than ever, but surely the *industry leader* should be investing some of its monumental profits into filling the gaps.

Anyway Final Fantasy VII looks good, an iterative but interesting sequel that Im sure will be a phenomenal base for Disc 2 and 3's content from the original. I also would like to play Keeper finally

Wild playing the South America Marketplace Gecko encounter in MGS4 without the fps entering single digits. Its almost like the stress of intense stuff like explosions or giant robots kicking stuff makes your ability to process motion get worse. The new port means that is no longer the case and on a technical level the game is absolutely better for it, but it does feel like something *unique* was lost.

Had a girls night with my friends, watching the Mamma Mia! films for the first time and eating sushi! Felt good to just immerse in some feminine energy for once. Living with two men can be such a drag sometimes. Loved just sitting back and enjoying some fun musicals and good food with the gals!
