There's something about sharing a view from a window that is so satisfying to me. It's not just an image of nature (which is also great!), but you become the person looking through the window. There's a whole other story happening that you never know, and only get hints of.

More fun practice with buildings! I'm starting to embrace the process and feel like I captured the essence of the vision in my head. #watercolorpainting #watercolorsketchbook #seattleartist #penandink #penandinksketching #micronpens #danielsmithwatercolors #danielsmith #sketchbookart

Just made this little spread a couple days ago. I struggle with painting trees and was so happy with how my cherry blossoms turned out! #watercolorpainting #watercolorsketchbook #seattleartist #seattleart

I painted this with a combination of water soluble graphite and watercolors. #watercolorpainting #watercolorsketchbook #graphite

Here's a sketch I did a few months ago. I added some extra texture with some ink shading. This was a fun experiment! #watercolorsketching #watercolorsketchbook #penandinkdrawing #sketcheverything

A small gesture can speak volumes.

I got to sketch the small record store inside the KEXP building in Lower Queen Anne. It was packed with people and the occasional dog. Love seeing everyone out enjoying their lives. #kexp #urbansketching #urbansketchersseattle #sketcheverything

For anyone else out there who loves psychological horror. I'm def going to check this out.

I love old and dilapidated buildings. They have so much character and are fun to draw. Here's a sketch I made from one of my photos of such a building. I used one and ink as well as a diluted ink wash to add shading and a bit of color. #penandinksketching #sketchbookexploration #sketcheverything

Went sketching over the weekend at a nice Scottish pub. Didn't get around to painting on location, so that will come later. #urbansketching #urbansketchersseattle #uskseattle #penandinksketching #sketcheverything

Art has been a huge part of my life. I was always doodling and took as many art classes as possible. Here's one of my recent sketches using water soluble graphite and watercolor. This is Seattle's troll who lives under a bridge in Fremont. #seattleartists #sketchbookart #watercolorsketchbook
