Fallen Kingdom, the dark fantasy dungeon crawler #ttrpg with horror and survival elements, just got a big update! 20 pages of additional content, from player options like ancestries, spells, and abilities, to new creature encounters and mechanics! Give it a look!

My first 5 ttrpgs in the order they were played:
1. 2nd ed AD&D
2. 3rd ed D&D
3. Shadowrun 3rd Ed
4. Vampire the Masquerade 2nd ed.
5. A homemade Gundam RPG my friend and I made based off of MS Saga that got way too complicated way too fast.
My first 5 ttrpgs in the order they were played.
1. Red Box D&D
2. James Bond
3. AD&D
4. Homemade Murder Mystery LARP
5. Rolemaster (I think, trying to sort out the timing is a bit tangled)
Reading through the 20th Anniversary edition of Dark Ages: Vampire as someone who only really played V2 and V20, and on top of being supremely late to the party I am just so enamored with the writing and the inversions on expected ideas of the clans and the place of things/kindred within the world.
Giving an additional shoutout to the writing, as it just oozes flavor and character that draws you along from sentence to sentence. Something that I think gets taken for granted when it is this good.

Nothing like getting yourself a little treat because you're having kind of a rough day only to then spill said treat all over yourself part of your desk area.
Unbeatable bad vibe.

As promised, a new one page game! This time it's a solo micro-RPG about the stress of trying to get something done, and failing to do so, mostly because you're mind and body just won't let you.

Getting a news article with a headline "Is It Your Personality, or a Psychological Disorder?" in my email is not the kind of blow I needed to my ego today.
I'm so happy I found the remaining stock of these fantastic Vita 1000 pins I made back in 2020. I've got them available on the store in limited quantities, so grab one and tell your true friends.

Los Duran Duran fotografiados por David Tan en NYC en 1981 parecen salidodse un manga shonen de ostias con poderes sobrenaturales... y que tienen un grupo de K-pop.
Watched a few episodes of The Creep Tapes last night with some friends. I've seen the first film also, and something I am constantly struck by watching them, is how Mark Duplass is utterly and completely without shame. Commits to a bit so far that it turns camp into something grounded and real.
I am gonna cheat and have a two-fer here:
One of my earliest memories is playing some version of Street Fighter 2 in an arcade with my sister, and her whooping my ass with Chun Li until I figured out how to do a fireball with Ryu.
Baldur's Gate 2 however, that game locked me in for good.

In all seriousness, this city is filled with so much gorgeous art and history that I've had the "what if I found a way to move here" thought more than once.
I don't think I will, not any time soon anyway, but holy moly.

Saw Andy Williams wrestle in AEW live as the Butcher, and obviously via TV throughout his tenure. As good as he looked on screen, in person his work looked so much better and could be felt in the crowd. Dude just had it all and was always a favorite to see. Terrible that he's gone.
That he apparently was also just an all around great dude hurts all the more. Always seemed like it but you know how it goes.
You know the drill. Tell your loved ones you love them, don't leave things unsaid, etc. Never know when you'll lose that opportunity.
Read through Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 5e's pdf earlier today. Lot of good stuff, lot of interesting stuff. Lessons learned from various supplements are folded in or iterated upon, as well as some stuff from Imperium Maledictum. I do think 5e is a misnomer, and that it's really more a 4.5 overall.
That said, I'm excited to run it! I'll have to wait until my 4e campaign finishes since making all these little changes to the formula this far in would be ridiculous, especially since we use a VTT for the game, but I found myself wanting to run the game more and more the further I read.
Also I've seen a lot of folks act like 4e is brand spanking new, not only almost a decade old, but one of the main criticisms on release was that the book's layout was pretty, but quite poor at onboarding new players.
I feel like this solves most of that issue. So, let's get serious.

It'll be interesting to see how this lands with the game's wider community. I honestly appreciate most of the streamlining and changes, but I can see how folks might chafe with it. Edition wars are nothing new, but with how 4e revitalized things so well this is probably going to be polarizing.
Beat CONSCRIPT: Director's Cut earlier this morning, and what a fantastic game. Harrowing, intense, grim, and deeply human, it was an emotional ride that blends classic survival horror concepts with a bleak WW1 setting. I look forward to replaying it and seeing what I missed on a first go.

Every time I look at the game I'm working on, or am doing edits, the prevailing thought that I have is "I have to make this weirder and more uncomfortable."
