Anyway it turns out they are edible and packed with Vitamin C so we both shared one and it was lovely. They taste like a peach and an orange got smashed together.

Monet's water lily paintings at Musée de l’Orangerie was a fun talking point about how a dog show upstaged the paintings, then War, then Flemish tapestries, then a second floor that put it in a dark basement... Anyway tickets are often sold out now so it has a happy ending but wtf y'all. 🪷

Also we FINALLY got our government dossier for renting approved (yes there's an official government process via a government site that landlords want that takes uploading 1000x documents) and we can finally officially apply for apartments since our temporary rental ends soon. Ooh lala.. a relief!

A big wrench in the works was proving we're married as two vagina havers with different last names, and not just two Pals Who Want a One Bedroom Apartment... Like nah y'all we're super married and have sex and fight about laundry placement and do taxes, here's more documents to prove that.

Up late doing French paperwork because it's all fairy rules and 1000x documents + very specific portraits. Still wouldn't trade it for the US but it's absolutely a document forward society. We got binders on binders now, I feel so officially documented! 💕 Even the pets have official cards now!

Also the photobooths everywhere in French films make so much sense now.. There are apps these days but to say that they're finicky/absolutely insane is an understatement, plus finding the right neutral background is a chore.

Idk why this took so long to post but! C'est la vie!! Currently we are Late Night Grocery Driving bc we couldn't get our usual restock earlier.. it's DARK out here in the suburbs of Paris. (There was also a horrible shooting here earlier, so everyone is being extra sweet and caring. :( )
