Come along on Sunday 1st November at 4pm to Rufus T Firefly's in Glasgow for the launch of That Jaud, my new collection from Drunk Muse Press. You'll hear performances from Laurie Goldie, Ross McWhinnie, Peilin Shi and of course me, Keeks Mc. I'll be reading from the new book. Grab a signed copy!

IT'S HERE! My new collection "That Jaud" arrived from Drunk Muse Press & it looks brilliant! Pre-order folk have started getting their copies & you can pick it up from Drunk Muse's website or from me personally at one of my launch events coming up. I really enjoyed putting this collection together.

Thanks to Anne Wilkie for designing such a wonderful cover, to Allyson Shaw and Michael Mullen for the ringing endorsements and huge thanks to Drunk Muse Press for publishing my many thoughts. Thanks to everyone who continues to support me in my poetic endeavours. Much love Keeks x

So excited to announce the Glasgow launch of my new collection "That Jaud" published by the brilliant Drunk Muse Press which takes place on 1st Nov 4-6pm in Rufus T's on Hope St. I'll be reading & appearing alongside some super special guests. Free entry. Come get your copy!

I loved to see @imcmillan.bsky.social 's article in the BBC mentioning the good qualities of social media in helping new poets find audiences. I have argued against "gatekeeping" since I started writing & have been lucky to find an encouraging community. I wish others the same fortune.

Eep! It's the awards for the Frances Browne poetry competition tomorrow in Kee's hotel, Stranolar! It'll be amazing! Congratulations and best of luck to everyone on the shortlists! So exciting!

'That Jaud' is, as always, in Scots. The theme is life and all its complexities and the poetry within is a blend of earnest and humorous - there's something for everyone! I'll be performing a good mix of the poetry within at the launches, to be announced soon!

I'm always sad that National Poetry Day lasts only, well.... a day. As it's Friday (yay) let's have a post-NPD laugh. Most photos of my performances are right girny and so funny. I know it happens to us all! Come on poets! Let's share our best! Add your pic below and let's see what you've got!

I got some lovely news on National Poetry Day yesterday. I was thrilled to learn my poem "The Cheynge" made it to the short list of the Frances Browne Literary Festival Poetry Competition. We find out what happens next at the awards next week. Congrats to everyone on the list!

Had a wonderful time on National Poetry Day at Bearsden Library previewing work from my new book "That Jaud" coming soon from Drunk Muse Press. Thank you to everyone who came along

Here we are! The first glimpses of the cover of my next book, "That Jaud" published by Drunk Muse Press . This beauty is officially away at the printers - launches will be confirmed in the next few weeks. Send me a DM if you'd like to pre-order!

Career highlight yesterday representing City of Poets at @ptbopoetry.bsky.social with a multimedia performance I directed showcasing endangered languages featuring non English speaking poets, interpretive art by Anne Wilkie & original music by Spencer Mason. Thanks to all for making it so special

Here's a wonderful opportunity for Scots Language poets. I'm guest editor for the February edition of @dreich.bsky.social and I'm looking for fresh, contemporary topics written in modern Scots to fill the pages. It fills up fast so get your submissions in.

Warmest congratulations to everyone on the Frances Browne Literary Festival Poetry shortlist announced today and fingers crossed for your success in the competition. It wasn't to be for me but I was honoured to make the long list.

Thanks to @sirangus.bsky.social Looking forward to seeing everyone at Scowth tomorrow!

I'm stunned and honoured to find out I've been placed twice on the longlist for the Frances Browne Literary Festival Poetry Competition in the Ulster Scots category for my poems "Isabella Tod" and "Will". What a special Monday this is!

POETS NEEDED Urgent call to the poetry community in Scotland. I'm looking for poets who write/perform in any endangered language (not Scots or Gaelic as they're covered) and live in or near Scotland. Please can you send me a wee message if this is you or you know anyone who fits the bill??

Smashing night on Friday at the Tron Theatre in Glasgow for the St Teneu poetry awards. What an honour to be shortlisted in the Scots language category. Well done to all the winners! #stteneu

I'm so excited to perform alongside this list of stunners at TenRed in Edinburgh on the evening of 23rd July. Come along to hear the words of some absolutely amazing poets!

Three days to wait! Join us at 2pm THIS SUNDAY for Scowth at Anniesland Mansions, Glasgow to hear the cracking words of Nazaret Ranea and Hadley-James Hoyles as well as a fabulous line up of open mic'ers! It's our 1st birthday too! Can't wait to see you all!

Poets! Can you help me out... I really wish we had polls on this but we don't. In lieu of this, can you let me know if you write your poetry drafts by hand or electronically?

Day 29 already. I have managed a poem each day of April with all of @sirangus.bsky.social 's prompts. Tomorrow is the last day and I have had such a great time. Thanks so much Adam for the time & effort you've put in with this. It's been wonderful. Love to see your poems too!! This one is gorgeous ☺️

I love this platform but in terms of being aware of creative opportunities I am definitely out of the loop after having cut back my meta use. Anyone find a workaround?
