Eric Bauza. I’m in shock. He welcomed a friend and I when we stepped into NAS for the first time as fresh baby animation artists. He was unstoppable and unmatched as a voice actor. What are we gonna do without our Bugs? RIP to the best 💔

Since I moved to LA, it seemed like every career milestone I had, Bauza was there to cheer and celebrate alongside me. My first union job, my first professional record session where we shared the booth together, all the premieres and wrap parties and gatherings, he was like the MC of our lives...

The man was an honest-to-god genius, a true vocal chameleon, an incredible talent, should have had decades ahead of him. An incredible tragedy.

Eric Bauza has sadly passed away at the age of 46, his family confirms in new Instagram post.

I’m 30 in just a couple of months, I wanna find something for myself and my family (this year has been bad financially stress has been hitting hard) With how expensive everything’s getting with all the luxury apartments being built, I don’t know if that’s gonna be Orange in the next few years

But till then, I’m still here. We don’t have a lot, we’re a low income neighborhood. But we get by, and we try and find the good and fun things to do while we do it

It got me thinking about my own roots which, don’t feel as rigid. Don’t get me wrong I have no hatred for this town, and the past year has given me a newfound appreciation I haven’t had in a long time But it’s a town where my old community (my old friends) have either left or I’ve lost touch with

It can be hard to have a connection to your community when there’s no one to connect with. But you know I’ve been trying in small ways where I can (I make it a point to go to monthly meetings at my local library to help where I can)

There are aspects the town gained (we have a small but pretty well loved arts community alongside that big loving immigrant community) and the things we’ve lost (the hospital that used to be part of this town, our original Center)

There was one piece from the show that left me thinking internally about myself: The Community There was one presenter in particular, a teacher who’s worked in the community for twenty years, and she’s mentioned how she’s built roots and a home for herself

Well I got out, and I really enjoyed it! 🧵 It was basically a four person overview of the town from four different perspectives of four different eras discussing everything from the Hat Factory that made the town, to the redlining that devalued the area.

The subsequent I-280 highway that split the town in the middle and caused the loss of many black/Italian neighborhoods to where we are now, a mixed immigrant neighborhood of Caribbean, African, and Hispanic communities all just trying to build something for ourselves

I’m worried I’ve gotten a little blasé with money recently cause of this feeling of, I’m not gonna be able to do anything I want and I’m only getting older, might as well spend it on the stuff I wanted to do now

Sidenote: there is a switch 2 I haven’t been able to touch for months and I’m inching closer and closer to just selling it and recouping some debt

the economy is so rough right now that i met a wallet inspector who’s doing jewelry testing as a side-gig. when he gets back with my wallet and pearls i’ll be giving him a big tip

I am hoping that by next year we’re no longer living on the bottom floor of a house I’ve grown to hate It’s probably not gonna happen, but I gotta have that hope

AMC Dishwashing Job, I worked a single night and never heard back about any other shifts for months. By the time they finally called back asking if I was still working l, I had already found another job (dollar store job so not really better, worse really but more consistent)

This post is unavailable.

The bus driver I usually see on my way home told me a crazy story where he basically got free Air Jordan’s and a 3000 dollar jacket from some deadbeat’s ex-girlfriend cause they cheated on her lmao.

The legendary Nickelodeon game show Double Dare made its debut 40 years ago today, October 6th, 1986. It would become one of the cornerstones of the early cable channel days of Nickelodeon and help the channel become a giant not just for children's television but for cable as a whole.

Being an episodic procedural means it didn’t hit as bad but man, the seasonal arcs of the last two seasons of izombie, ESPECIALLY THAT LAST SEASON, almost got there for me

What TV show got so bad it effectively destroyed your appreciation for the show when it was was good?

…. (With the obvious caveat that it would’ve been better if Warner was just solo but we live in hell world) Netflix should’ve got it

Memo: Skydance co-CEOs David Ellison and Ynon Kreiz acknowledge layoffs, saying combining companies will involve "difficult decisions that affect our workforce" (Todd Spangler/Variety) Main Link | Mediagazer Permalink

It’s the redundancy fear that I had in the back of my mind since Skydance started the bidding war, we are going to see a lot of studio shutdowns in the next few months-years as they start consolidating everything. Happened with Fox/Disney and now, well

My sense of time is completely out of wack, you could tell me something came out five years ago and I’d think you were lying, and that it only came out yesterday

I’m finally old enough to really understand how obnoxious teens can get, cause my god, I got unlucky and had to sit on the bus with highschoolers and this one dude thought he was a comedian but like, a really shitty shock comic kind
