So, it sucks that this AI edit is fooling people, with tons of comments saying “now this is why humans > AI”, but that’s the unfortunate reality we’re in. Someone taking an actual cool thing, and trying to steal valor by artificially making it look cooler. And isn’t that just kind of boring?
The results of the video I posted earlier was this iconic shot 👏 Danny León and his crew smashed it.

very interesting, went down the internet rabbit hole and it looks like they redid this dialogue with more modern Mario voices as well.
The DOS version of Mario is Missing does not have voice acting in the ending. However, unused voice lines meant for it exist in the files. Below is a recreation of the cutscene with the voices edited in.
had some free time and got the very very very early bones of this up and running in #godot. wasn't bad at all reusing existing tiles and sprite sheet. already thinking about best ways to organize things. probably time to make a spec document... #gamedev #godotsquared
the MEMORIES! i made this 8-9 years ago. gameboy-esque platformer demo with parallax scrolling. very simple engine built from the ground up in vanilla JS/HTML. i'm thinking about rebuilding it in #godot and turning it into something really cool. stay tuned???? #gamedev #godotsquared
i regret to inform you that bubsy 2 is indeed a bad game

man, Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat is over 20 years old and it absolutely still holds up. deceptively simple controls with surprising depth/techniques for satisfying score attack platforming, ridiculous creativity, amazing interactive soundtrack. it's not afraid to just be a silly, goofy, fun video game.
i checked out clair obscur: expedition 33 recently without having seen almost any of it beforehand. it's pretty, pretty, pretty good www.youtube.com/watch?v=v904...
