Some upbeat funky tunes to brighten up a dreich afternoon, courtesy of @oranjusu.bsky.social , aka JamesCallaghan of Day Sleeper.

Between the storms pre-breakfast walk.

Time for the big jaikets!

Instead of closing BBC Scotland and Radio 4 Extra why not just ditch Radio 1? It's much more expensive to run and just replicates most mainstream commercial channels.

Some really sad news about a #MDANT from Twitter. Don't broivexshe had a presence on this platform.

Too nice a morning not to! Been a few weeks, as my legs and lungs reminded me!

Bonny wee visitor to the feeder this morning. Makes a change from sparrows!

'Time for Ukraine to get new president,' says Trump after Zelensky condemns diesel deal-BBC Didn't have a US/RUSSIA Axis on my bingo card for this year. Scary times indeed.

Sunrise by Berwick Law this morning.

Tonight's gig at Langtoun Jazz , The Jack Pearce Quintet putting on a great couple of sets as they celebrate the launch their new album, Church Lane, which was released today. So much talent!

One won ones, oh bugger

Here we go!

Wee wander out to the lighthouse after breakfast. Rumble of thunder on the way back but got in before the light rain started. Beach is empty. 😥

What? "Tuna Tartare" means raw tuna? 🤦‍♂️ Delicious tho.

This'll do for a week!

Tonight's gig at The Byre Theatre, St Andrews - a rare outing for Swiss Family Orbison, doing an exclusive 2 set gig including 12 songs from their catalogue which were never recorded or released. A superb night!

Tourists arrive as the sun rises. Unfortunately didn't have the angle to get both in the same shot.

"Burnham 'gets it' says Trump, as the two leaders meet for first time" - BBC So, Burn'em is either sucking up to Drumpo, or Drumpo has put out a hit on him? Neither of these scenarios fills me with confidence in our PM.

"UK to provide Saudi Arabia with 'defensive' military support, says Burnham" -BBC Saudi Arabia, a country overflowing with money, needs British taxpayers to provide "defensive" air support? Seriously?

Last night's gig: Saint Etienne on their Farewell Tour at the sold out Barrowlands. So many fantastic songs sounding as good as they ever did. The Pastels on support duty, fantastic as always.

Wee afternoon job - first wiring of the new ficus bonsai. Long way to go.

Picked the perfect day to finally do the ride I've talked myself out of all summer. Almost traffic free roads which meant my wheezing went largely unnoticed. Cracking views from the tops of the numerous hills. Sadly no pics as I left the phone in the car. 🤦‍♂️

Coffee and cake stop at The Pillars of Hercules in today's bike ride.

Coffee and cake time at Forth Coffee Shop. Great day for a ride with the wind dropping.

Haw Haw Haw!

Hell yeah! Such precision in his playing.

November is the next opportunity for the American public to demonstrate that, despite everything going on over there, nothing will really change.

I've got £82 to my name, to last 2 weeks. If anyone needs any design work done, please consider me. It's getting tougher by the day for all independents. My design work link in bio above. (Also new Iso 51 coming tomorrow, you could always support me on my Ko-Fi if you want) Cheers ✊

Wee trip up to Perth Theatre for a bit of Joy Division nostalgia.

Beats Geordie Munro, hands down!

Day out in the big city for me and my brother, over from Texas. Guildford Arms, then Valvona & Crolla for a most excellent meal. Then @lukeclosely and Sekoya gig at V&C. Couldn't get much closer to the band! Sound was excellent. The Hebrides for a pint before the noisy train home.

Here we go again!

The world has just signed an executive order renaming Lake Michigan, the only Great Lake entirely in the USA, as Lake Inferior.

That is just brilliant for Hearts. Superb fighting spirit. Well done.

I find this a bit rich. His leadership on the pitch was woeful. He should be directing play and demanding more of his players on the pitch. It's too late to do it when the game is over.

Tadej Pogacar saving the Vuelta organisers some money as they only need to buy one red leaders skin suit!

Beautiful day for a ride out to Leven for a coffee and cake at the newly rebranded Forth Coffee Shop.

So, is it Harry Kane or Harry Maguire that's coming back to the UK?

Love the murals popping up and brightening the town. Some very talented people in our midst. The first has just been completed, paying respect to a massive local industry. You have to work a bit to pick out the message in the second!

Oh, FFS! It was a business trip! Now do UK government. Or does that not fit the BBC agenda?

Outstanding gig tonight from cortoalto at The Hub

corto.alto at a very posh The Hub for the Festival. A little bit different from a packed and sweaty Canvas, Dundee back February! Likely no pics from this one.
