I'm introducing the Truth and Accounability Commission to hold the Trump administration and Trump family accountable for their crimes. No one is above the law.

Trump just announced that he's backing away from the live streamed public exeucution. Hegseth is so extreme that even Trump realizes he needs to rein him in. Today, I'm cosponsoring Rep. Vindman’s bill to ban the broadcasting public executions.

Trump and Hegseth are staging a public execution and live streaming it. They have no regard for our kids or our moral standing in the world. I'm calling for their impeachment.

It’s ABSURD that Congress is on vacation until November while our country is at war.
Gas prices are well over $4. Diesel prices are over $6. Congress must return to Washington and vote to end Trump’s illegal war.

I’m reintroducing the Campus Accountability and Safety Act. This bill would force universities to report sexual assault incidents to the federal government, require clear processes for investigating and reporting sexual assault, and guarantee justice for survivors.

Egypt’s arrest of the six journalists at Matsadaash is a brazen assault on press freedom. I stand with Human Rights Watch, Reporters Without Borders and the 80 other groups objecting to “Egyptian authorities’ failure to allow free expression to thrive.”

Three simple ideas to stop corruption in government: ✅ Get money out of politics. ✅ Stop insider trading by federal elected officials. ✅ Prosecute the Epstein class.

ChatGPT literally helped plan a mass shooting. Eight people were killed. We need to hold the executives of these AI companies civilly and criminally liable when their models cause this kind of catastrophic harm.

The tech lords use jargon to confuse. They count on the tech illiteracy of the elected class. They hope we won’t look under the hood. They know they can’t gaslight me. This is the most comprehensive AI safety legislation to date. www.cnbc.com/2026/09/28/k...

cnbc.comKhanna to introduce AI safety bill with ban on 'recursive' technology until safeguards existThe proposal joins a chorus of other measures being put forward in Congress as the body mulls how to regulate AI.

I am opposing Section 219, which would integrate our military with Israel’s. The United States does not have this arrangement with any other country in the world. We need to stand up for American sovereignty and strip this provision from the final NDAA.

I introduced the Free Childcare for America Act. This is the boldest childcare proposal we have ever had. It would provide free childcare to millions, while giving families the flexibility to choose the form of childcare that works best for them.

As the top Democrat on the China Committee, I'm convening an unprecedented hearing today on what it will take to reach an international AI safety agreement with China. Trump and Xi Jinping must reach an agreement on AI safety standards at their meeting tomorrow.

Our government is giving $2.8 billon in bombs to Israel. How about giving that money to the American people so they can afford food and gas? I'm tired of this Israel first policy. It's time to put Americans first.

Mike Johnson sent Congress on vacation through November to prevent votes on the Epstein files, Pete Hegseth’s impeachment and AI regulation. We need to be back doing the people’s work.

While the majority of Americans, including many young Republicans, demand an end to aid to Israel, the Trump Administration is sending the Israeli military $2.8 billion of taxpayer funded bombs. This is why so many Americans believe our political and economic system is broken.

Mike Johnson just said that AI companies can self-regulate and self-police. Take it from the guy representing Silicon Valley, that is crazy! The tech billionaires profiting of AI models can’t be trusted to keep us safe.

We are being ruled by tech lords who are regulating themselves. Instead of acting, Johnson is sending Congress home at the end of the week because he does not see AI as urgent. The future of AI cannot be governed by the companies building it.

Trump is lawyering up in anticipation of losing the House. Democrats need the guts to hold the corrupt accountable by subpoenaing: - The Trump family over their financial deals - Elon Musk and DOGE over the unconstitutional cuts - ICE officials who killed American citizens

On the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost and the heroic work of the first responders who risked their lives to save others. Their courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

The House voted for a bill that could strip universities of federal funding if students call out the actions of the Israeli government. This is a massive assault on the First Amendment. We need to stand with students who have the courage to speak out against the genocide in Gaza.

Trump says, “Let data reign.” That means higher electric bills, increased water use, and noise pollution. I introduced the first-ever Data Center Bill of Rights, which calls for a ban on data centers in residential areas and farmland, and the right for communities to say no.

This Labor Day, we recognize the workers who power our economy and the unions that built it. As AI threatens jobs and privacy, we need stronger unions, safer workplaces, a living wage, and a New Economic Patriotism that puts working people first.

Today, Leon Black defied a congressional subpoena and refused to answer questions about Epstein. We need one system of justice in America. I will not rest until people like Leon Black are forced to answer for what they did.

Mike Johnson is adjourning Congress on September 17th, creating an obstacle for Thomas Massie and me to get the signatures needed for our Epstein files discharge petition.

Thomas Massie and I just introduced a discharge petition to force a vote on the Epstein Files Transparency Act II. The DOJ has failed to release millions of files. I’m calling on everyone in Congress to sign this petition and stand up for the survivors.

The skeptics saying Medicare for All would bankrupt America have been proven wrong. A new Yale study shows that Medicare for All would save $1 trillion and 114,000 lives a year.

Medicare for All could save $1 trillion a year and 114,000 lives. Congress must pass Medicare for All and finally guarantee health care as a right for every American.

I met with Pope Leo last week to discuss his encyclical Magnifica Humanitas and its call to put human dignity over AI. I then wrote to AI CEOs asking what they're doing to ensure human beings are making decisions & prevent mass unemployment. 📸: Vatican Media

A new Yale analysis found Medicare for All would cover every American AND save more than $1 trillion a year, cutting national health care spending by 20%. It would also mean better pay for doctors, nurses, and healthcare providers. Medicare for All saves money and lives.

If Obama had to offer cash to VP Biden when his son Beau was dying of cancer, what does that say about our society? Medicare for All is about human dignity and equality.

Three economic reasons to end the Iran war today: Gas prices would drop by more than $1/gallon Grocery prices would come down We could redirect $60 billion to free childcare and healthcare for Americans

Today, I'm introducing the first-ever Data Center Bill of Rights. Communities deserve the right to reject data centers, protect their water, keep electricity bills down, and prevent states from shoving data centers down their throats.

Happy to be back home for National Night Out! It was great stopping by events across CA-17, catching up with familiar faces, and thanking the incredible law enforcement officers who work every day to help keep our communities safe.

From record heat to noxious air from wildfires, people are paying for the climate crisis with their health. I am proud to introduce the Green New Deal for Health with @khanna.house.gov to build a healthcare system to withstand this crisis and to put patients and workers first.

I’m proud to re-introduce the Green New Deal for Health with @markey.senate.gov. The bill is simple. It says we need to prepare for climate disasters by having healthcare and emergency professionals in communities who are ready to deal with climate events.

I’m proud to introduce bipartisan legislation with Rep. Luna to prevent federal elected officials from using campaign funds to go after survivors who bring claims of sexual assault or harassment. Thank you to Cheyenne Hunt for your work and leadership on this issue.

Republicans attached the SAVE Act to a congressional stock trading ban, knowing it will make passage impossible in the Senate. This is why Americans hate politics.

The House just passed an additional $60 billion for the war in Iran. This money could fund free public college and free childcare for every American while expanding health care coverage for seniors. It’s time to end the war and focus on investment here at home.

Five things House Democrats are going to do once we have the majority: Medicare for All A living wage Stronger union protections  $10 a day childcare End aid to Israel

Rep. Thomas Massie and I called on the DOJ to comply with our Epstein Files Transparency Act after its botched redaction and failure to release the remaining files. The survivors & the public deserve answers. Thanks to Katie Phang & those fighting for transparency.

Republicans have adjourned Congress early for the 4th while most Americans are still working. We should be in DC to end the Iran war and bring gas and food prices down.
