Uber just announced it will lay off 10% of its workforce, or around 3,300 workers. Last year, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi made $35M — 360 times his median employee's pay — and announced a $20B stock buyback program to further enrich shareholders and himself. Textbook corporate greed.

I was raised to not speak ill of the dead. In therapy, I learned that speaking honestly about the harm done is more important than protecting the dead. Lindsey Graham caused more harm to this state than anything else in my lifetime. His legacy is hatred and brutality. Now, SC can move forward.

Today, I voted YES to release the names of Members of Congress who used taxpayer dollars to settle sexual misconduct and other misconduct cases in Congress. No more abuses of power and no more hiding behind a system that shields perpetrators. We will always fight for justice for survivors—period.

Starbucks UK sales and number of shops increase but appears to pay no corporation tax. The trick is profit shifting through intragroup transactions to low/no tax jurisdictions - royalty payments, management fees, interest on intragroup loans. Company accounts comply with UK law but are opaque.

"Trump's not conservative" Oh no you don't. No no no no no. I can tolerate Republicans moving on from Bush and the neocons, 9/11 and all that. But you fucking own Trump from now until the end of time. He told you exactly who he was from day 1 and you voted for him 3 times. That's on YOU.

Can we please stop electing geriatric leaders? While its generally true experience comes with age I'd learned many of life's lessons by the time I was 30. At least make it someone under 50.

Living a moral life in an age of bullies requires collective action; it cannot be done alone. Each of us must organize and participate in a vast network of moral resistance. From this solidarity we will grow stronger. This is what our current moment requires.

There's a certain amount of satisfaction to be taken from seeing even stalwart partisans like Supertanskii wake up to the turd-in-socialist-clothing that is Starmer, but basically it's all too late & they can never be forgiven for actively undermining Corbyn & the one chance we had of real change.
