Gate of Steiner screams 2009 so much yet I never noticed until now youtu.be/2Q9MqL83FeE
I know why but still, kill me :( text.agentscan.tools/analyze?url=... I am very aware the way I write just smells like AI and I have no idea what to do about it other than, well, trust
A few weeks ago, I shared the idea of analyzing contributorsโ text for signs of automation. Now it's an app and a GitHub Action you can add to your anti-clanker Swiss Army knife. It's still an ongoing experiment, but it seems to capture the patterns in PR and issue descriptions reasonably well.
Presumably the profile[.]dev mentions are not supposed to be links, but unfortunately they got replaced. I wish Bluesky could just add codeblocks to the official app alreadyโฆ I am definitely going to use this the next time I compile Rust code (if I remember, hopefully I do)
Rust pro-tip to shrink your target directory: If you don't use a debugger, then don't waste disk space creating debugging info. Cargo.toml [http://profile.dev ] debug = "line-tables-only" split-debuginfo = "unpacked" # .. and don't debug deps [http://profile.dev .package."*"] debug = false

TDoV ๐งต: trans visibility is a double-edged sword due to the Unmarked/Marked mindset: trans ppl face undue attention & scrutiny b/c we're marked. but we also face invisibility b/c ppl typically presume that every person they meet belongs to the unmarked majority (aka, cis)... youtu.be/xiU-G0mTYVY

I think of it as relative and absolute morality, instinctively we measure how bad someone is by comparing with expectations, but this results in already bad people getting a free pass Personally I try to correct for it by comparing with some other measure instead of depending on my expectations
