Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

You all know that this doesn't mean AIPAC isn't still giving money to candidates, right? They're just going to be allowed to do it in ways that aren't publicly reported. That's all that is happening.

I changed from Google Maps to MapQuest recently, because Google is a bunch of fascist dicks, but MapQuest is DESTROYING my phone battery when I use it. Like 20% for a 15 minute trip.

So Alberta is voting to remain as part of Canada, but then is also voting to approve almost all of the questions that would make them........not part of Canada, basically? lol

Everything is different. Because everything is shittier. Literally everything has undergone shittification since COVID. Whether it is worse quality product for the same price or HIGHER price, worse quality product IN A LOWER AMOUNT for the same price OR HIGHER PRICE. Happening to *everything*.

In my big money fantasy football dynasty league, I offered a guy Dak, Ollie Gordon, and a 2028 1st for Swift, Parker Washington, and Juwan Johnson (I don't have a backup TE behind McBride). He countered with Bo Nix instead of Dak. Yes, please.

Whoever said it was okay for Hurts to GET ON AN INTERCONTINENTAL FLIGHT and then PLAY IN A FOOTBALL GAME with a KNOWN BLOOD CLOT after TELLING HIM HE CAN'T SLEEP BECAUSE OF SAID BLOOD CLOT needs to be fired in to the sun.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, who is out for the season after several blood clots were revealed in his lungs. Before the London game, Hurts was in the hospital until 4 am and did not sleep because sleep was a risk. He played the game without having slept. Crazy.

I never did truck stuff when I had a truck. I had a truck so I could drive through snow when it's more than 4 inches tall, and so I could see further in front of me in traffic to anticipate potential issues. Of course, the latter doesn't matter if *everyone* is in a truck.

Hard not to notice that Democrats who are doing the best are the ones who are leaving this whole civility-and-norms, we-go-high, we-need-a-strong-Republican-Party bullshit behind and are simply giving Republicans exactly what they all ought to get at all times, which is undisguised contempt.

I'm tired of this whole idea with reality TV. Stop putting the same people on multiple reality competitions. It's annoying that people literally are making careers out of being on multiple reality comps. Let normal, actual, UNKNOWN people go on to compete for an opportunity for life-changing money.

Fun fact: According to David Samson (former Marlins exec), Victor Mesa Jr. was only signed by MLB because the Marlins wanted his brother, Victor Victor Mesa, and to get him to sign, they promised to also bring in his brother, Victor Mesa Jr. Turns out, Victor Victor stinks. Victor Jr rocks.

Ossoff (and democrats at large) need to understand that whether you win by 1 vote or 100 million votes, it's a win either way and both should be fought for equally hard. Implying "we can't enforce the results if you don't make it obvious" is not acceptable.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Out of the five generic meds I take every single day, four of them are made in India, and three of those four in facilities that have had inspection issues, including one with major inspection issues. Cool cool coooooooool. 🙃

It's insane to me that every week there's a new exposé on Hasan Piker, a Twitch streamer who something like 10% of the nation has ever heard of, saying Democrats need to "answer for him" liking a handful of democrats. Meanwhile, Kid Rock and Donald Trump are campaigning with multiple republicans.

Looking forward to all the NFL think pieces today saying that Ben Johnson can't get it done without Jared Goff. Oh, wait. You mean to tell me we won't get any of those today? Weird.

I understand Mark Andrews has had his share of issues on the football field over the last 9 months, but I don't know that blaming him for not catching a poorly-thrown ball 2 feet over his head with a defender draped on him is criticism he deserves lol

I just simply don't understand, when there's so many good baseball color analysts out there, why John Smoltz has a job. The guy who hates baseball more than anyone not named Rob Manfred.

Also this is why the single most impressive thing I've ever seen a baseball player do was when 36-year-old past-his-prime Ken Griffey Jr. turned around a 104 mph Joel Zumaya fastball for a home run at Comerica Park. That was superhuman.

Kyle Schwerin@kleshreen.bsky.social

The most impressive thing in baseball to me is watching guys who are 32+ years old being able to make solid contact with 102+ mph fastballs. Everyone under 28 has come up through the minors seeing nothing EXCEPT 99+ mph fastballs. But these old guys? Incredible.
