Shares purchased for little or nothing become very valuable once the project is funded. This appears to be what Trump, Witkoff, and Kuschner are doing. They will own a share of a $25 billion company by owning blocks of shares before the capital arrives. When it does, they instantly make billions.

So, this may help a bit, but doesn’t address the issue many Northern Ontario home owners face, their home is heated with electricity. Back in the 70’s Ontario Hydro pushed the use of electricity. Many Northern communities at built on rock, so it was cheaper to use electricity to heat with since -

Blasting through rock was expensive and the bath gas providers didn’t want to do it. Heating your house through the winter should be a right, not a luxury. Doug ford needs to acknowledge this. I live in the Soo. We have hydro, turbines and solar fields all around us. We don’t get a break .
