I can't say it enough... Support your local food bank! Give what you can, when you can. They need it now more than ever! I'm angry that my tax $ are funding wars and a ballroom and not helping those in need. But I do what I can. 🤷‍♀️

We are seeing a hunger disaster unrolling before our eyes. Since Republicans passed the Big Beautiful Bill, 2 million kids have lost food assistance. These are by far the deepest SNAP cuts in history, and each month, we find out it’s even worse than we thought. The worst is yet to come.

One of my first hand made sweaters is >20 years old and it has almost more mends than sweater. Had to add new cuffs since the old ones were frayed. Other little holes were mended. But, I love the sweater, the yarn, and the fit. I will wear it forever!

Depending on the yarn and fibers, a hand-knit sweater can be uniquely beautiful in a way that's not easily replicated by machine-made counterparts. Hand-knitting can result in a slightly uneven texture, which adds visual interest to an outfit. Machine-made knits can be quite flat in comparison.
