I'm also doing the thing where I present each video as a self-contained thing in the metadata so people aren't scared off by a "part 2" Forgive me 😔

Today is apparently that one in a hundred of days when I wake up and go "oh right yeah I have the capability to do things outside my comfort zone" Not got anything planned but it's a nice state of mind to be in lmao

Okay I considered buying a different brand of shampoo but then felt like I might explode SO maybe I was overconfident pffffff

Me waking up from sleep 364 days of the year: Augh... oh god... is it another day.... I'm tired... Me waking up from sleep after 1 (one) extra hour of sleep: I am going to fight god and win

Sweeney tries to make out he's saying this in defence of the beleaguered indie devs who want to use AI, but remember that his company laid off 1000 people earlier this year before pivoting to AI. He's taking this stance for one reason: he loves money

"One of two major restructuring efforts." "This second has been announced ahead of our last major restructuring effort." "Only three more to go, guys!" 🫠

Xbox reportedly planning three more rounds of layoffs, with the first wave coming as early as this month. https://bit.ly/4BkeQY1

I cannot stress to you how seismic this is for me. I just found out that one of my favourite, most obscure PS2 games of all time has a fuckin SEQUEL I NEVER KNEW ABOUT WHAT??!!

yeh tbh if AI is so great you should be proud of it, you should disclose it everywhere and put a bunch of stickers yourself that you used it for your project showing everyone how cool and cutting edge you are, no? like, it's the future right? you love it right??

I have new games that I'm really enjoying like Castlevania and Enshrouded and FF Resonance and when I go to boot up a game and figure out what I wanna do my brain goes "LET'S VIBE IN ESO" 90% of the time I genuinely wonder what's up with that

Farewell to Kritigri Erethorn, who I used to check out the experience I'm familiar with to see change Farewell to Turnt Snacko, who I ran through the Riverglades to check it out. Farewell to Muldor Brightcloak, a mockup of my D&D character and potential main. Farewell to Gregory Smegory, who exists.

Over the last two weeks, on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being all the time and 0 being not at all, how often have you been feeling Metroid Dread?

I've decided that if ESO's Skyrim season is gonna disappoint on the "reasons to return to Skyrim zones" front, I'll just make a Skyrim-themed character and do it myself. Meet Orngar Fire-Forged! Gonna take him questing through Bleakrock, Eastmarch, The Rift, Western Skyrim and The Reach.

I've contemplated making a "zone locked" style character for a while now. It's not exactly a challenge, more of a thematic choice for immersion. I'm also going to homebrew my own build for fun and theming and see how far I can take it. May still queue random dungeons, not sure yet. I'm leaning not.

Y'know, I was kind of excited for ESO's newest season to focus on Skyrim, but besides the solo dungeons they really do give you extraordinarily little reason to go back there. And the season pass is, inexplicably, Maarselok themed... a dragon we meet & deal with in Elsweyr.

I'm not going to complain about the lack of content given the circumstances (it's fairly obvious this was meant to come with a Winterhold zone before Microslop fucked us), but in all honest I am still a little disappointed by this season so far. The removal of crates from the pass doesn't help.

Ah well. WoW Forever is out soon anyway, it's probably a good thing I don't have a season trying to tie me to another MMO. I'll just focus on levelling alts and play through story zones as Akatosh intended.

Lol I dreamed that this was co authored by GRRM and I went to a signing but forgot I hadn't brought anything for him to sign So I asked him to hold on and ran around the bookstore looking for the first two books in the series but discovered he hadn't co authored those ones

As someone who read the Dark Tower series a decade or so ago, I damn near snapped my neck in a double take at that name I have no idea what the Talisman trilogy is though or how any of it would link together. The blurb has me curious but I've forgotten so much of the Dark Tower over the years

The dream went on with me hanging around after the signing looking for a book I wanted to buy I found a trilogy of hardback books about Greek, Norse, and Egyptian mythology in the style of fantasy lore books like Encyclopedia Eorzea But I put it down and couldn't find it and spent hours looking

I want to take a moment after the chaos of today to say something about the fandom, and bring up a post from former Dragon Age writer @thatotherwriter.bsky.social It was posted over a year ago when the DA team was laid off, but still applies: Dragon Age isn't dead because it's yours now.

Why do I feel like Dragon Age: The Veilguard is gonna be one of those games I play and end up wondering what the hell people were yapping about

Love the idea, let's start a train of art inspired by Bioware games ❤️ These stories mean the world to me, its characters inspired me for years, the artists and writers behind them literally helped shape my artistic journey. I am thankful for everything you've created 🫶

In the wake of the news... feel free to quote with your art, fic, edits, etc. to show our love! Salutes in chat for the end of an era 🫡 Dragon Age truly is ours and no one can take that from us.

I imagine Geoff Keighley sitting down around this time of year to draft his opening speech for the Game Awards but he's just sweating trying to choose between all the shitty controversies in gaming this year he can choose from to weigh in on

A casualty of an industry under siege. A monolithic loss.

BioWare, which was once hundreds of employees across three offices, had around 50 staff remaining when EA closed the studio this morning. EA gutted BioWare after the release of Dragon Age: The Veilguard last year, as we reported then: www.bloomberg.com/news/newslet...

Replying to @ponett.dog

see also all the people who liked browsing steam next fest demos saying they don't know if they can take the amount of AI slop anymore. barely any of those slop games are going to sell any copies, but they're poisoning the well for the rest of us and ruining another avenue for discoverability

Instead of focusing on sleep, my brain came up with the insight that a potential alien civilization waaaaaay over in Eridanus might have this same map up in their wall (with different names / approximations) That's fuckin COOL
