Exclusively doing food and art coverage? I woke up at the crack of dawn yesterday and went to the courthouse to cover a possible wrongful conviction case that I've been working on all year. Our coverage isn't changing.

LA Taco does not appear to have acknowledged it, but it seems like it is trying to pivot back to exclusively doing food and arts coverage? It’s not going well.

Is the Metro board chair position cursed?!

Alissa Walker@awalkerinla.bsky.social

Something I just realized: Karen Bass is currently serving as Metro board chair, a term which runs through June 30, 2027. If Nithya Raman becomes mayor, she will also immediately be sworn in as Metro board chair. This would also be the second Metro board chair in a row to lose their reelection

Our hosts discuss the likelihood of a blue wave sweeping upcoming elections. At the final mayoral debate, Nithya Raman invokes a troubling chapter of LAPD history. And while the Burbank airport quietly delivered a brand-new terminal, the LAX people mover suffered… “blast incidents”?
