Everyone still using X is using a website that produces and distributes CSAM. It is disgusting and immoral and nobody has any excuse for not being fully aware at this point.

I said this in replies elsewhere, but I want to say it loudly here. Anything other than a fullthroated affirmation of birthright citizenship in this country by SCOTUS is an act of treason. It is grounds for immediate impeachment. It is a violation of every oath they have made.

I feel pretty strongly that the ai phenomenon could only ever have happened in the trump era. It took trump demonstrating that laws don't matter if you break them confidently for silicon valley to embrace doing exactly that as a core part of their business model

❤️Happy Fredrick Douglass day!❤️ Because he was born enslaved, Fredrick Douglass never got to know his own birthday. Based on memories of his mother and anecdotes from his master, who was also his father, he estimated that he was born in February, so he chose to celebrate his birthday on 2/14.

Douglass taught himself to read, escaped from slavery, and became one of America's most influential writers and statesmen. Though it's not a federally recognized holiday, organizations across the country remember Douglass and his fight for abolition and civil rights every Valentine's day.

"If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters." -Fredrick Douglass

My only complaint about splatoon adding health bars is that they are kinda ugly tbh. I wish it was like a wheel or something instead

Not looking forward to the next democratic presidency when congressional Republicans inevitably impeach them every time they, like, fill out a form wrong or something

I'm finally playing both Thracia (fe5) and Path of Radiance (fe9). Both have early game "prison break" chapters and it's interesting to compare the different takes. Both chapters are essentially asking you to solve a puzzle, with the option to brute force if you don't care about the max rewards.

In fe5, you have no choice but to fight the guards. You don't have enough fighters to kill them quickly, so the puzzle is figuring out the best order to open the cell doors so that the green units don't encounter the guards. This leads to a lot more viable approaches, and more exciting moments.

fe5's approach feels more challenging and more rewarding overall. But I think fe9 trying to do a pure non-combat stealth mission was really cool and unusual for the series, even if it doesn't completely stick the landing.

In fe9, you can open the cells without alerting the guards and skip basically all the combat. This is a huge departure from normal combat focused chapters; in fact, you're punished for engaging in combat. I love that as a design choice. But the lack of combat can make it feel unrewarding, too.

This is a frankly stupid way to look at the subject. Trump does not care what "analysts say" or what this cold war agreement "allows" him to do, and neither does congress. He probably doesn't even know about any of this. That's not where his power or decisions come from.

Greenland doesn't want to be bought by anyone — especially not the U.S. But a Cold War agreement already allows President Trump to increase military presence on the territory, analysts say. Here's what to know.

I saw Merrily We Roll Along and thought it was fantastic. More people would like musicals if they knew there was stuff like this. It's only a shame it didn't get more marketing—most people I've talked to didn't know it was in theaters until I told them.

This obviously doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things but one of the more subtly weird things about this administration is that it's just considered perfectly normal now for political figures to say swear words in an official setting

This composition had eluded me for nearly a decade, but yesterday I was finally able to capture it. A train rolled through just as the Duquesne Incline was crossing over the tracks in #Pittsburgh, creating a picture perfect winter scene. It was worth the hours and hours I've waited over the years.
