My new theory on this is that an AI company somewhere is funding this storyline

My wife watches some show called 1000lb sisters and one of the sisters was generating country AI tracks with Suno. She went to Nashville to professionally record a song that she never wrote, could not sing, and spent much of the time on screen mumbling into a microphone. This shit fucking sucks

I legitimately wish I could understand why there’s so much hate toward iZotope’s products. Did Ozone not come to your graduation party or something?

Grocery stores should play nothing but soft ambient music. Not only would it improve the experience, it may actually increase revenue for unspecified reasons. They could even make their own and call it something like “Music for Grocery Stores.”

Gonna make an album called “I Was a Teenage Libertarian” but it’s just learning about how taxes pay for infrastructure and essential services

Absolutely massive drop from Notoftheflesh with DIY CDRs and mini-CDRs from lots of artists on ML. Also, they were kind enough to send over some copies of my latest album on Militant Liturgy - gospel haunted. Absolutely amazing to see my music on a CD. Can’t express just how much I appreciate it.

I regret to inform you all that I have a new highly specific interest and it is specifically this Panasonic microcassette transcriber with external input

Putting a single solitary pumpkin on my front porch to let everyone know that I acknowledge autumn is here, however, this is the extent I will be doing for it

Pulled out the EA1 for the first time in a bit and ran it though a delay pedal and this odd reverb I found on the App Store called rymdigare. Lots of fun parameters on it including a randomized octaver and a x/y axis for reverb size and ratio.

Plugin ads be like “I just found this really cool plugin that does something that you can easily do with almost any of the other plugins you own but this one does it with only one click”

Friends, I am thrilled to be included in the latest issue of Avocado 1970, a new experimental music zine curated and edited by The Creeping Man. The zine features interviews with lots of great artists as well as yours truly, and is a real deep dive into experimental underground music culture.

As an artist, musician, or even writer, you’re gonna have hits and you’re gonna have misses. Don’t let your misses get to you.

Sometimes it’s okay to make something in the box. Having all those cables and outboard effects is nice, but in some cases, simplicity is the key

I love getting on social media to see what cool things my Internet friends are getting into. I hate being on social media long enough to be reminded that we live in a terrible, awful, god-forsaken world.

🎵🎵🎵 Ed Sheeran shit the bed in his room Now his bedsheets smell like poo Everyday discovering something brand new Ed Sheeran is a shitty dude 🎵🎵🎵

There used to be a rather large community of electronic music producers on YouTube and my theory is that it died when that garbage plugin company Unison started paying them to push their overpriced trash

Whoever had the the thought that we should have like 3 tech companies determine what music we should make and listen to should be tarred and feathered

Was gearing up to go to the open mic night that I’ve been going to for over a year now and it was gutted to learn that our MC Scott passed away today. RIP Scott, I’m always going to appreciate the encouragement you gave everyone, especially myself, to start performing and sharing the art we make.

A little preview of something new I’m working on. Built in this weird app called FieldScaper using samples pulled directly from an odd tape full of old gospel songs recorded in the 50s. Made some positively haunting sounds out of it. #fxpedals #haunting #darkambient #experimental #noise

YOU DON'T "CONSUME" ART MOTHERFUCKER. YOU EXPERIENCE IT. YOU FEEL IT. YOU ENGAGE WITH IT. YOU WRESTLE WITH IT. YOU LIVE IT. ART ISN'T A LITTLE MORSEL YOU GOBBLE UP.
